Story

Nuthatch Cottage is a wonderfully restored old Foresters cottage on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean.
The Cottage overlooks the beautiful Flaxley Valley known by the Romans as the Vale de Castiard.
Nuthatch Cottage sits between beautiful Wye Valley (AONB) and the impressive River Severn with its many walks, beautiful sights and places of interest.
The Cottage is not only a fantastic place to unwind but a great base to explore the surrounding with its natural beauty, history, fun and places of interest area either by foot, cycle or car.
We do allow pets with well behaved owners.

Absolutely breathtaking - we were so fortunate to be able to stay here, an idyllic holiday location, perfect for relaxing, squeaky clean upon arrival and such a thoughtful holiday home, they really have put their heart and soul into renovating this place. I loved the bookcase at the top of the stairs, sitting outside on the bench reading followed by relaxing in the wood fired hot tub! Other worldly!! Thank you
Absolutely Stunning place. The Owners Lesley and Howard made us feel extremely welcome and Diesel the lovely dog of course. The Lodge was extremely clean and sanitised...with a lovely welcome gift of wine chocolates biscuits etc. And fresh flowers. The surrounding countryside views were second to none...a beautiful sunset to enjoy why sitting on the decking with a glass of wine. Lovely relaxing location and short car journeys to beaches and nearby villages. Thankyou for a lovely holiday. Would love to return Nigel and Lesley.
Just perfect in every way.. Stunning views, cosy warm cottage, and the most comfortable bed ever.. This place has thought of everything with its faultless presentation and all round facilities, clear to see why it's so popular.. We will be back for sure...
Definitely one of the best accommodations we've stayed in. The cottage and garden are truly delightful and the views are spectacular. What sets this place apart tho, are the owners. Couldn't do enough for you, if you needed it. Will definitely be returning and couldnt recommend it highly enough.
Lovely, lovely place. Delightful, helpful owners. Hilly Hereford lived up to it rep there is a long very steep path to the cottage and the stairs inside are also steep and narrow. We were at Robin cottage not nuthatch. Very happy with our little hol.
