Seeing all the wonderful reviews, I knew it would be something special but we weren't prepared for just how incredible it was! We couldn't have wished for anything more - every single thing has been thought of! Nicola was a wonderful host - there if you needed her but in no way encroaching on your privacy. The cakes were stunning, the free roaming chickens coming to say hello and the two beautiful cats were the cherry on top of a wonderful holiday that felt a million miles away from the rat race. Thank you so much Nicola and family... I have no doubt you'll be seeing us again!
Fabulous stay again. Love the vintage vibe of the yurts, fab breakfast hamper, toasty wood burner, super comfy bed, lovely wood fired hot tub, candles, cake and gin….. I could go on and on! Lovely, lovely, lovely. Do try Nicola’s meals to heat up yourself… you won’t regret it!
Cannot recommend highly enough. The location was beautiful. The yurt was perfectly equipped and the layout was fab. Arriving to a hot tub and a fresh pot of tea for sunset was amazing! Mrs Mills is the most accommodating host, providing gluten free + vegan alternatives for her breakfast and cake offerings and readily available for any queries. My sister and I stayed for 2 nights in March 2022 and could not fault it at all. We will be back!
A really special place ran by really special people. Me and my boys always have a great time here and they are already asking when we can go back! Fantastic! Big love to the Mills massive! X
A really fantastic place. The yurts were really nice, the bed was really comfy and it was just a lovely place to stay. Nicola was very welcoming and so helpful when we had questions and she was happy to just let us be otherwise. The breakfast hamper and food were delicious. I would really reccomend a stay to everyone. The surrounding area has lots of pubs/villages to explore and exciting adventures to be had in the Forrest of Dean.
We knew from looking at photos and reading previous reviews that Mrs Mills Yurts was going to be special, but our 4 days here have far surpassed our expectations. The site itself is set in beautiful grounds, the yurts are comfortable and brilliantly equipped we ended up leaving so much in the car as it was already provided and the family owners are lovely. It was perfect for our 6 and 3 year old, with lovely safe grounds for them to run in, games to borrow from the snug, and a trampoline and climbing frame in the family's own garden which they are happy for them to play on. Perfect for those who love being in the outdoors there's a firepit for outdoor cooking and it's well equipped for alfresco dining but also for those who wouldn't usually go for a camping trip there's a separate shared kitchen and comfy extras like dressing gown and slippers. Added details such as freshly baked cakes delivered every afternoon, breakfast hamper on the first morning and a decanter of sherry left in the yurt really add to the experience. The wood-fired hot tub is fantastic. We have already booked for next summer and can't wait to return.
The experience was amazing. We stayed in the Tanaduke. The hot tub was lovely! I definitely do like yurts. However, as a childless couple, it was really hard to relax while being in the middle of two families with children who are playing together, running around the area and shouting across the field to each other. Don't mind it the odd day or time, but it was constant throughout the 4 day stay, and therefore put a bit of a downer on the 'relaxation' side of it. Perhaps maybe separate or allocate yurts for families and place couples on the opposite end, or something like that, I think. Other than that, the location was stunning. Surrounding area was a sight for sore eyes. The owner was an absolute delight, so friendly and very welcoming. She provided little cakes every day for the guests, which is really sweet. The breakfast hamper included was super yummy! The amenities were clean and well looked after. Would definitely recommend.
Just finished 2 nights in the Tanaduke yurt and we had the BEST weekend. Super relaxing hottub, the yurt was incredible and the food throughout we had the BBQ, breakfast and Thai curry were all delicious. Easy access to a nice hike up May Hill and not far from Symonds yat for another nice walk. Would recommend!!
This is my second visit. I can't with my friend last year and absolutely loved every second of it, so myself and my husband have come to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary and the birth of our first son who is 3 months old - they are child friendly and Nicola will do anything she can to make having a baby with you easier. We a loving it this time too
Our favourite glamping experience in the UK! We've been coming back each year since 2014. Mrs Mills always surprises us with additional luxury touches. I would recommend you book the yurt with the wood burning hot tub!
