Wonderful experience at Number Eight The whole evening was so well choreographed and every dish and drink pairing was delightful. A real treat for us and worth every penny. You can really see the attention and passion that Chloe and Josh have put into the restaurant, and I hope that it continues to receive the support and praise it deserves.

What an experience. The food was totally phenomenal. Chloe is an excellent host. And Joshua's expertise in the kitchen takes the experience to another level. We will definitely be back when in the area again.
Superb food. The big advantages of a taster menu are that you pace your eating, and experience a range of flavours and flavour combinations that you just would not get otherwise. Number Eight is an experience not just food.
Perfect food and service. As positive criticism I would say great for groups but if intimate would need something like background music. Courses need to be explained. RecommendedFood: 5/5
Another evening of outstanding food but now in the new premises. We confidently introduced more friends to your restaurant and they were as impressed by Number Eight as we have been.
How many superlatives can I use.......amazing, different and would be a well deserved Michelin stat? It was spotlessly clean and owner v friendly. The tastes were incredible along with all the little surprises on the way.
A really pleasant evening meal the like of which hasn't been available in Bideford or maybe North Devon for a long time. Fine dining isn't for everyone so don't expect a big bowl of chips with your meal and make sure you have a dessert too! Extra little courses make it a very special event, give this place a try!
My wife and I decided on a short break to Devon, and were lucky enough to stumble across Number Eight. Called and found they had a table available during our stay. We were delighted with both the quality of food and service. The restaurant is run by a young couple "Chloe & Josh" and the fact that they have earned the number 1 restaurant in Bideford is not a surprise. If you're heading to the West Country book a table here, you wont be disappointed. Josh is so inventive the little extras such as the pre-desert wow!! Keep up the good work guys and we'll be back very soon.
