Number 16 Restaurant is a very beautiful restaurant in Glasgow. The venue is reported into the Michelin guide. So the food is really of very good quality. Service is neat and precise. The atmosphere is kind of private, but the music is a bit loud at times. A must if you are in Glasgow and you want to eat well one night of your stay.
Got the set lunch menu. Starters were very nice and light. The soup and arancini are recommended. The ox cheek rigatoni and pork belly were okay. Service was great. Waitress was very nice and friendly. Atmosphere in the restaurant was nice. Cosy. Overall, nice wee place in the west end and very good value for money.
Had my best meal here out of recent travels around the UK. The restaurant was laid back and cozy and the food was fantastic. I had the cod w. roasted cauliflower and light curry sauce and it was perfect and delish. Got a recommendation from some locals down the block from a pub to go there and glad I did. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
We had a tremendous meal here on the 24th August - I had the beef main pictured and my partner had the duck. Both were tremendous. We also had a lovely Rioja Vega wine which was out of this world! The desserts were divine as was the crumbly homemade shortbread with the coffees. Most of all, the exemplary service made the meal extremely memorable. Thank you Number16.
My husband and I were wowed by our experience at number 16. It was our last meal of our honeymoon, and we wanted a really good dinner. I cannot say enough about this restaurant. The food was exquisite. Everything from the soup to the entrees, to the incredible lemon dessert thing! The service was excellent too! I wish I could remember our servers name. He was super tall with reddish hair. 20 some thing. I think one of the best references we can give is that we were sitting next to a party who were locals. Will locals as in three hours from the restaurant. They said that they never miss coming to the restaurant every time they’re in town. The next time we are in Glasgow, we will definitely make it back!
We wanted a special restaurant for a special university reunion 40 years on and we certainly found it. From the minute we walked in until we left the service was great waited patiently as we kept talking, food was top class & drinks flowing. A special shout out to Emma who went out her way to do us a wee thoughtful favour which means we shall return for our next reunion which can't come soon enough. Many thanks!

My partner & I tried 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts from their 3 course set menu. We love everything! From the service to the plating, and esp the careful & well put together pairing of fusion of flavours in each plate was simply divine. Highly recommended :-Food: 5/5
How on earth can this food be from such a tiny but obviously perfect kitchen. You can see the food wizards at work. I would eat the Beef Tartar for starters main and desert, truly amazing. Wiify and I went for an early sitting 630pm, but even with this, there were two couples a fair way into their meals, and by the time we left, only the upstairs seating was empty. This was 630pm on a Sunday with that in mind. Number 16 is smashing it, . Very relaxing in my mind, the server was very casual/comfortable in her clothing choice, but then I tasted the Beef Tartar and Yup, I'm the Wally and Wiffy was miffed about us being overdressed.......but it was date night we started early and we went on to places that expected us not to be outfitted in leggings trainers and a T.... And yesssss im gonna say it again. For that, Beef Tartar the service should wear whatever they feel comfortable in , I'm putting myself on the naughty step for being so short-sighted, purely on sight . Number 16, close your narrow-minded eyes and let your taste buds take control. Everything else we ate was also Vgood.
We discovered this wonderful restaurant today. We ate duck leg terrine, cured salmon, venison ragu, pork belly & coconut parfait. Every dish was perfectly balanced and totally delicious. This small, but perfectly formed restaurant, is a must visit! Great service & lovely intimate atmosphere.Food: 5/5
