Nuffield hospital and all the excellent staff took such great care of me during 2 night stay for total hip replacement. First time in hospital in UK and felt so grateful for the care and attention. Met some wonderful nurses from all over the world helping our NHS.
I had a operation here today and i had a really good experience. My nurse Kris was really nice as was the HCA who looked after me, all the other staff. Dr malde did my operation and was great too and the anaesthesiologist. The room was clean and had good privacy. I was referred through NHS but did not feel i was treated any differently. I arrived at 12.40pm and got to go home by 7pm. I would definitely chose to go here again if i needed any other procedures :-
Just returned home following spinal surgery. Can’t praise the ward staff highly enough. Cathryn, Bernadette, Helena and everyone else I had contact with, from the Porter who took me to theatre, to the staff that brought me coffee, were all so friendly, comforting and professional. Everyone made what could have been quite a traumatic experience for me into an enjoyable stay. Thank you all!
Not happy with the service at all. I paid £4.5k for a procedure and the aftercare has been awful to be quite frank. Was only given two pairs of compression stockings when I am expected to wear them day and night for 3 weeks, no clear instructions on whether its even necessary for me to wear them at night as they are not particularly comfortable. Considering I paid for the procedure is it too much to ask to at least get a couple more pairs? The nurses all give you mixed messages and conflicting info and you dont know who to believe. And to top it off when I called the ward just now for advice, I was hung up on before I could even say why I was calling and then they purposely let it ring when I tried calling back. To say I'm fuming is an understatement. Now feel like I have no choice but to complain. Got a follow up with the consultant in a few weeks and I'm not going to hold back on how disappointed I feel. I could understand if it was NHS but for private paying patients the service did not at all match expectations.
Amazing how good they treating patients. It's so different from NHS
I arrived to a room full of people,was taken to my room a nurse who had zero compassion or time took a few details,another woman came in and jabbed me in tummy with needle,in and out quiker than a rat up a drain pipe,surgeon came in went over his paperwork,all of 2mins,another 2people were in and out,man doing aneasthetic 2mins and woman to order lunch,i went to step out for some fresh air after an hour of not seeing anyone and getting very stressed was attacked from several members of staff who were all gossiping in the staff room with several excuses why i couldn t go out one being covid ?? But all members of staff were mixing some with masks some without,and they all go home and socialise and them that smoke go over and mix while smoking !! i didn t have my operation as the care there is shocking,the nhs are under staffed and over worked and still treat there patients with care and compassion
I cannot understand bad reviews here. I visited Nuffield Hospital three times on three different occasions I had two operations done here and my experience was always above my expectations. Doctors were always proffesional and Nurses and other staff always made me feel great almost as home. Even when I was stressed they always made me laugh. Thank you all !
First, wrong outpatient booking number provided online, it is a letting agent number. Second, i call general enquiry instead, want to book an appointment, i told her my situation and i don’t know which specialist should i book, and i was shocked that the lady told me to research it online myself and come back to her after. This is worsen than NHS, the lady is either unprofessional, cant be bother or not willing to take responsibility. Why should I pay for something that worsen than NHS service. Its a big NO.
I had surgery on Thursday! I can’t praise the staff highly enough! They made me feel so reassured! Kept me updated! The nurses were amazing! Very helpful and caring! My Surgeon Mr Offer is a master in his field! He’s worked wonders! I’m so happy with the outcome! Very caring, took time after my surgery to talk to my mum and reassure her all was well! Even though the surgery finished late! The hospital is spotless, friendly, and welcoming! I would highly recommend Mr Offer to anyone, brilliant surgeon, Mr Fox the anaesthetist was amazing to! Highly recommend!
