Well, where do I start??? Saw a lovely looking Black Honda Civic on a 56 plate, looked nice drove well needed some bits and bobs doing on it. Thought ok I’ll buy it. Dealer said he’ll fix bits and bobs before I buy it. Fair enough deposit given. THAT WAS 2 WEEKS AGO! Key fob needed a new battery, heating in car was running cold on stand still with the engine running, drivers side handle bar needed screws and there was constant squeaking from the wheels and steering. Dealer said he’ll send it away to get fixed. Then dealer rang me to say all the work had been done apart from new brakes and pads ( for the squeaking to stop ) as he had been sent the wrong brakes and pads. So yesterday I was promised to have the car only to be told at 3pm that the car is back it’s all running well but the heating is still blowing cold on standstill and the handle bar hasn’t been done. I think it’s safe to say the dealer had been lying to me all along and delaying the car reaching me as the car must have major problems. In all fairness the dealer offered me a car, a run around to use whilst the work gets done on the civic but I don’t think that’s the answer at all and it’s all about principles especially when your parting with £3000 of your hard earned money.  Anyway I ordered number plates, matts and a new glove box for this car eagerly waiting for the car to be mine and never got it. In the meantime I took out insurance road tax etc and scrapped my old car. I did get my deposit back with no major issues and strangely the Black Honda Civic was not there even after being told he’s had it back. Also I didn’t even get a verbal apology. Says a lot in my book.  I’ve brought many cars in the past all with ease and generally a smooth process. This place....WORST EVER EXPERIENCE. I’m not one to tell the public where to go to buy a car or where to spend your money, but based on my own experience with Northampton Car Company KEEP WELL AWAY! AND KEEP AWAY FROM THAT BLACK HONDA CIVIC ON A 56 PLATE IF EVER YOU SEE IT THERE!!!!!

DO NOT BUY !!!!!!!

I bought a car for my partner here, service was great (when taking your money). The car kept breaking down and refused to start. - it was taken back and "fixed" by them several times within first 3 months and they refused to swap the car or give us our money back. MOT is worth about as much as the paper is printed on as it's from their friends next door. We were told that we would get a spare wheel and a jack - had to go back for that. Exhaust was blown on collection (how did that pass MOT?). The exhaust repair was so poor it had to be fixed a week later due to poor workmanship. The exhaust still sounds like a chav car outside a McDonald's car park. The car is still broken and drives for about 5 minutes before stalling and we have to call recovery. Never buying a car from here again, and I am still disgusted by the service and the total disregard for safety. I do not understand how they can sell a car that drives for 5 minutes and then completely ignore us once they have their money. They even had the cheek to offer us 15% of the price we bought it for, just 3 months after we bought it from them (probably because they tried fixing it several times and know it is a lemon). 

DO NOT BUY !!!!!! DON'T BE TRICKED 

Still to this date no help from them and I am left out of pocket. Had to buy a car from a friend to get around in. Disgrace.

Message to the garage - you don't have me down as buying a car because it's under my partners name. So please don't comment your usual get out of jail free card of 'we don't have you on our records as buying a car'

And don't comment get in contact if you're not happy... we have many times and you haven't rectified the issue. I believe you've had the car 6 or 7 times. Not happy DO NOT BUY.

Purchased 2 cars from this showroom recently and received 5 star service from the moment we arrived. No hard selling or sales chat just honest pricing and Even when we had a hiccup they sorted without any questioning or delay.

So far so good. Left alone to look at the cars. There when needed. Will see when I pick up the car i bought.

If you buy a vehicle from this company get it independently checked before you buy, do not trust the MOT, because if like me the car breaks down and you get an engineers report on the problems they will not give you a refund under the Consumer Rights act. Please read the advert for the vehicle very carefully and the V5  so you are fully aware about the number of previous owners the vehicle has had unlike me. They will not deal with you they put it in the hands of a motor trade law firm  (Lawgistics ) who deal with customer complaints against motor traders and get them off the hook.   If you deal with this company my advice is CUSTOMER BEWARE.
I am in the process of getting more legal advice about the refusal of a refund under my consumer rights so if you are also in the same position please do not give up because this is what they rely on !!!!!
