Kelsang is a tailor I’ve been going to for years - he’s reliable, quick, reasonable, and talented. He has often done me the kindness of fixing things that are really minor without any judgment, and even though I think every time I walk through his door he probably thinks, ‘why doesn’t she just buy trousers that fit her????’ he’s never said as much. He’s a wonderful and community oriented tailor and a real asset to the area.
I went in this tailor on an off chance as I needed a really last minute alteration on a dress for my birthday. It was actually their first week of opening under new management with a new tailor and owner ,and the shop had been renovated. I was really impressed with the quality and how quickly they made the adjustments. I took in a vintage silk dress and it was shortened, tailored to my figure and a zip was put in – and it was ready for collection the next day. The finish was excellent & the fit of the dress was faultless. Since then I have been taking all my alternations here and I cannot fault the quality and care taken. I would highly recommend this place for any alteration you have. The tailor is highly skilled and works to such a high standard that I cannot recommend enough!
Real Professionalism and Top Quality Fitting I thought i share my review on my recent experience last month. Initially I was a little bit skeptical about this place. When I went in I was welcomed with a nice smile by the store manager Varun. I was taken away by the friendly and professional attitude of the staff in dealing with my queries. They have a wide range of luxury and quality fabrics. Measuring service was top notch and I had my 3 pcs-suite done exactly as I imagined. Overall it was a positive experience and would recommend this place strongly who like quality with professionalism with a competitive and attractive rates.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Do NOT use this tailors, an absolutely terrible experience. They have had my item since August after failing to make the very small adjustments which meant I had to buy a new outfit for 2 different weddings. I can't get hold of anyone on the phone, have left several voicemail messages and can only assume that I will never get my dress back. We had arranged back in September that I would come to pick it up on a particular date but they were then closed. Since then I have not been able to speak to anybody, despite calling at least once a week during opening hours and leaving voicemails. Incredibly frustrating, dishonest and unprofessional. DO NOT USE.
Varun and his team are so skilled, friendly, professional and produce such a quality workmanship. I had a bespoke service tailored and thoroughly enjoyed the personalised design process, which was straight forward with great advice. The resulting ensemble was stunningly handsome and very sharp. I had so many compliments for that suit. I would highly recommend Nicholas of London
Extremely happy with the quality of the bespoke suit made for me and my wedding party. Very competitive price with excellent customer service. Have recommended to all my city based associates for their work attire.
1 week became 2 months! Terrible customer service! He worked on only 2 of my 5 items, asked for £20 for the 2, completely ruined them, it cost me £300 at professional tailors to get them fixed again plus additional costs for the items he hasn't worked on obviously! Had to wash my items twice as he smokes in there and it smelled absolutely terrible. Don't waste your money or your clothes!
I wouldn't even give them one star... I walked in this week to talk to the owner and his colleagues, and the owner was incredibly rood. He sent me away, saying he didn't want to waste his time on a woman like me. All I wanted was a short interview for my school project. Get your suits tailored somewhere else!
