We call here once a year to revitalise our metro passes. As you might expect there is usually a queue but the service is quick and efficient and we don't have to wait very long. 13 July 20. Called after lockdown eased to find the Travel Shop closed; however, a helpful young female member of staff helped us renew our passes using a Metro ticket machine which are more versatile than I had appreciated.
It's not possible to buy an all zone student ticket on a Saturday as the opening hours are only Monday to Friday. My son is back to Sunderland college Monday and we can't purchase this ticket online either. We also live 45 miles away from Newcastle so it's very inconvenient having to travel into Newcastle just to buy a ticket. We will be out of pocket as he will now have ti buy a bus/metro ticket on the first day back as well as buy the termly pass when during your opening hours. I'm sure in this day and age, NEXUS could organise online ticket purchasing and open their shops on a Saturday.
Not the most helpful staff all I wanted was to change my address . I thought in this age of technology it would be updated on line but no
Ok when no que longer opening hours wanted.
