I go swimming. It's good to use. But can get busy at times. If your wanting to go purely to swim lengths you need to go a few times to find the best times. I find during the day better than an evening as there's lots of people just stood in the pool chatting at times on a night.

Busy place, usually a steady stream of people coming and going. Car parking is not good as it's now difficult to get a space and you can't stay long. The lifts are constantly out of order and there isn't anyone doing a thing about it. They have been out of order for over a month completely unusable.What are disabled and wheelchair bound people supposed to do to get upstairs?

Could do with one or two more pieces of equipment but otherwise well equipped , seems to take a long time to repair broken equipment , could do with a good clean particularly the free weights area .

The leisure centre itself is extremely good, there are plenty of things to do while here including a swimming pool and gym, as well as other services which make it essential for the local community, such as a Library, Hair Stylist, and a council service area.nnMy only complaint would be the parking, which is time limited to 2.5 hours and controlled by ANPR cameras, making it very easy to get a parking ticket.  This isn't the fault of the leisure centre, as it is run by a third party company, but because of the proximity to the leisure centre, it is easy to mistake for a council run car park.

Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre is a multi-sport venue and leisure facility, located in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. The centre was opened in 1974 and has facilities for swimming, exercise, an indoor climbing wall, and a main sports hall for sports such as basketball, badminton and indoor football. This weekend it hosted the 2023 English Acrobatic Championships. Helpful and friendly staff.
