We got married here yesterday, staff are really helpful, really welcoming and well organised. The deputy registrar put us at ease talking us through the process. The ceremony was perfect, Momtaz the registrar was brilliant.
The Newham birth registration online is a tricky one once you fill and submit the form you are signed out automatically, you have to immediately sign in back to book appointments otherwise you won't be able to do so even if you call them they will direct you to email them with no replies for weeks. Newham council helpline is totally unhelpful in this regard after a waiting time of approximately 80 minutes
For the last two days, I am trying to book Citizenship Ceremony try to call them no help at all email to the registery office no response.
Last 1 week been trying to book citizenship ceremony but system won't recognise my details, call them but I was to send a email,which I did but no response
They don't even deserve one star!
To difficult to get through to then when you eventiually do. They cant help or procide incorrect info

Pethatic phone service, never reach no where
Turned up 5 minutes late to register our baby and was turned away. The traffic in East Ham was twice as bad as expected and I couldn’t get the extra time off work. Now my baby can’t be registered to a doctor for at least another 10 days and I might be disciplined by my workplace to do it. The guy who spoke to us was a rude little jumped up sort of a bloke who I saw walking off down the road on his way home 5 minutes later. So an early day is worth my boy not being able to see a doctor if he needs to. Disgusted.
Booked an appointment for birth registration. Was seen within a week. Mr Trueman Ferirra saw to us. How to make ammendments and extra copies if needed were explained aswell. Thank you Sir for giving the information clearly and step by step.
