I am the caretaker of a large block of flats near Jesmond. My job is routinely made worse by missed bin collections, with the added deterrent of waiting 15-30 minutes to report it each time. Mostly I am told "an email will be logged and passed on to the depot/manager." We have had rats (which I removed at my own expense) at our property due to the waste piling up from missed collections. They usually can't tell you anything, so you sit in limbo hoping for something to be done. No contact, no information, no help. Our public litterbin on the street was removed in previous months, so now people leave bags of dog waste strewn around. Apparently this is 'more efficient'. They are happy to throw fines at people at a moments notice - cigarette butts, parking, bus lanes. There are potholes galore on the nearby streets which will wreck your car. It feels like they cannot do their minimal duties. If they are struggling, this needs to be made clear rather than ignoring people with promises of emails, pretending all is well.

I can remember when local council was there to help people as PUBLIC SERVANTS. Unfortunately now they seem to me to be the enemy of the people. Sorry but in my opinion all they do is take off you and provide next to nothing, it's extremely annoying.

Train station road and streets around is a joke. One way to station and no return by the semi way. Nobel Price for this guy who approved this communication system (must be after high dose intake alcohol). Plenty CCTV cameras, BUS line cameras, road, red lights and mobile cameras mounted on the cars , Cameras in the buses in taxis everywhere. for our saftey??? No just for money collection like in middle age. Parking on the Newcastle Victoria Infirmary should be free because is for people who need help. People have no jobs, no money. In Newcastle is no medium class just high reach and poor people. Just take little walk on West End Walker Byker and compare to Jesmond or Gosforth
