Just a short stay with a family room , thoroughly enjoyed the room and experience at the Village Hotel. Made use of the swimming pool was great for the toddler 2 years and had a quick blast at the well equipped gym. We ate at the bar and all was good. Breakfast was what you would expect from a buffet style breakfast. Family room was spacious enough for a 2 year old to run about in without causing too much havoc which included a cot as well as a sofa bed if needed. Bed was nice and comfy. Great shower too! Nice lil break just what we needed
Regular gym/class user for the past 8+ years. Love the classes & instructors are great! Loads of different classes to choose from, gym very well equipped with the latest kit. Staff are pleasant especially Vanessa on reception who is lovely & always very helpful. Highly recommend everyone.
Booked a club room. Which was actually smaller than previous standard room. However SPA and Pool access was worth it. Rooms spotless beds comfy not much else necessary for my stay. Lack of plug sockets close to the bed was of minor inconvenience.
Nice hotel with a good gym if you can catch an offer. It's always spotlessly clean and welcoming, and the staff are lovely. There's a Starbucks which after many years without now gives loyalty "stars". Bar & grill restaurant is a sports bar so there is plenty of TV and music video noise. Could do with a quieter corner for folks not into that. Food is nice but not amazing, it sits on the pricier end and there are better dining options within 10 minutes in all directions. Were local so don't use the rooms & can't comment but overall we do return so they're doing things right.
Big hotel with well equipped gym and pool with steam and sauna. A good choice if you will use these facilities. The room was fine but the food in the grill Italian restaurant has gone was poor. Pretty much just burgers. Gastropub prices but certainly not gastropub quality. Smallest burgers I have ever had and a tiny pot of coleslaw. Had a glass of red wine, also very ordinary. Had the world cup showing which was fine but had it competing with the muzak. One or the other, please.
Always a nice place to visit. Nice pool although very very expensive to use. £18!!!! Taking the mick there I feel... Rooms are very small but comfortable. Bar and lounge area is always good with nice atmosphere, lots of different seats, and decent sized televisions. Rooms: Very small, hot, and a little stuffy. Very small televisions Food & drinks: Always nice food, but drink is very expensive. Nice breakfast Noteworthy details: Very expensive spa and very expensive drinks
Great english breaskfast. Great facilities with gym, pool and hot tub, steam and sauna included in the hotel. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere but the pool and gym is clean and well maintained. Rooms are quiet and clean. The rooms are not so modern. I would recommend and go there again.Rooms: 5/5
Rooms are comfy and clean. Staff are lovely, friendly and attentive. But my goodness the food is dire. Appalling lack of choice especially for non-meat eaters. Needs pizza and pasta options and some sandwiches/baguettes. Breakfast also not good. Vegetarian sausages are vile: grey and undercooked. Poached eggs aren't drained before they're served. Mushrooms seem to be tinned. Such a shame.
Stayed here many times and I only live 30 mins away. Would love a gym like that near me. Rooms are always smart and the bar area just encourages me to be thereRooms: 5/5
Nice little bar on 1st floor and the pool is nice but rooms are not verry inviting, the decore is very cold but they were very clean. Not the best variety of tea and coffee. Location was bad for us as its way out of the way of anything.Rooms: 3/5
