We went to this car park on Sunday to see the lunar new year celebrations. We got back 5 minutes after 6 and the gates were closed and no access. I was with my baby and 5 year old and husband. Several others were locked out some had travelled far to see the comedy festival and the contact number only forwarded to a number that kept ringing. Someone who was also locked out got through in that number only to say that someone might be there from 1 hour to 1am.  It is ridiculous how the opening hours are not longer at this car park and how the gates and access closed so we could not get out or in at all. It was a huge inconvenience. We had to pay 25 pounds but also 18 pounds for the Uber back home and then my husband had to take time off work to drive back and pick up the car in the morning.  We are fortunate to have another car so we could drive out son to school in the morning.   There needs to be very clear writing on the sign that the car park will be completely inaccessible dead on 6pm and at least give some 5 or 10 minutes after to let people out. I will be writing a complaint to Leicester council.

PROS: Easy to pay if you register through the council Parking Portal, so no need for tickets it's all done through ANPR and you're charged automatically. Plenty of spaces. Great location. Feels clean and safe -  at least compared to other Leicester car parks I've used.nnCONS: Prices have gone up e.g. £5 for under 2 hours is a rip off. Bigger cars and SUVs will have to take the ramps very slowly, it's tight. Not a 24hr car park. Lifts never working. Avoid toilets as drug users/unhoused folk are sometimes loitering.

Its ok if you desperate to find parking. If you come back for you car consider you may need about 5 minutes to pay for ticket as for past 6 months these pay machines are so bad that they will scan your ticket with 30 or even 50 try, also its only good if you have small car, anything above average you will most likely scratch it going down as going down space is 3 parking space wide and so narrow, and yes after using it for 20th time or so i have managed to finally scratch my car because of lack of space.

Good location for city centre. Normally it is necessary to go to 8th floor to find space, past all the empty reserved and empty electric car charging spaces. The lift has been out of action for months, so after you have paid the extortionate charge you can get fit climbing up 9 or so flights of stairs.

Car got locked in on a Sunday night. Shut up before the 6pm close time… i got there at 6pm and a man walked away from the door got in and left!assuming this was the guy who locked the carpark If i was inside when he locked up i’d be locked in there too lol.nThey need to let people get out still, closed at 6pm should be “no entry”, not “it’s our car now”.
