5* to all staff working at the station there all helpful. Avoid: The cab drivers are all longhauling drivers who'd do anything to maximise there fares. Uber is the best.
They have changed the road Kay out at the front some 6 + months ago but it does still cause some problems. Leaving the station, if you want to go north, still has road re-routed but takes you south of the station… it sort of works as long as you are not in ‘rush hour’ traffic. The station itself is well kept and the trains are usually punctual. It’s a good service in general. The ticket prices fluctuates a lot, best is to buy on line a good month or two before you travel.
Really can't complain. The nearby multistorey is quite potentially the scariest car park in the country. The station car park is open-air, but well lit, barrier controlled and it seemed safe enough. Overnight at a weekend, the prices are reasonable too.
Extremely expensive car park for short stay. Parked there to meet my sister at the train station she was waiting for me just a inside the train station so only there 5 minutes cost £8!!!!!!!!!!!!Nearly fainted. We had just lost our father that morning so we were travelling to the Leicester Royal Infirmary straight from collecting my sister so we’re in no mood to challenge the price. Would definitely never ever park there again. Dispicable price very disappointed.
Convenient and usually there are spaces. But that's probably because it's expensive. Although I didn't have to pay due to a machine malfunction. Be lucky!
Good rate if you're looking to park your car for the day, which was what I did when I visited Leicester. You can pay either by cash, card, or Google Pay/Apple Pay.
Gone has the free 20 minutes drop off. Now costs £2 from 1800 till 0230. Always check the website for more details.
It has a 7 foot height restriction but plenty of space.
Probably the second best car park in the UK after Redcar British Steel Station. Its got tarmac, white lines for spaces and a money machine.
It's a car park, well lit, plenty of space - not much more to say
