Recently changed hands but the food has been great. Staff are friendly and deliver food in a reasonable time frame. They have a huge menu which often may need explaining for certain dishes. Quite a few of the dishes contain nuts so obviously people with allergies may need to avoid this.
Am absolutely Appalled with the standard of food that’s been delivered to my home … Been ordering food from new bamboo garden for years and years even when it was called bamboo garden in holly cross… We ordered the same as normal house special chow main,ribs,sailt pepper chips mini spring rolls and sweet sour sauce and banana fritters … Chow main was not normal the noodles where very thin and clumped together the king prawns one tasted off or just not cleaned was horrible .. the spring rolls were lovely this time but unfortunately came with no sweet and sour sauce … Ribs we’re ok not as nice as normal .. banana fritters … we’ll one was two king prawns in batter stuck together and one was a black banana fritter with syrup underneath … Am absolutely shocked and disappointed we just spent nearly 30 pounds of that meal which was our treat now every time I call no one is picking up … Unfortunately will have to find a new Chinese takeout ..
Food is very mediocre and the chicken is shiny and smooth when you cut through it. Curry sauce is like water. Staff didn't even say hello when entering or thank you for ordering. She looked at me like me nut was on back to front. Will not be ordering again even if it ment née Chinese food ever again.
Ordered from them on Saturday at about 21:40. The food arrived at around 22:35 but the order was not right, food was missing. Tried calling but no answer.
First order since moving back, food was delicious still piping hot, what more can you ask for? I had my first ever Chinese from this very shop years ago, not the same owners going off other reviews, but every bit as good. I have found my local Chinese, we are very happy bunnies.
Chow mein is always soggy and overloaded with fat/grease Very stingy on the beef in the rice, looks like flakes of fish food. Wouldn't be surprised if it is as has no flavour Beware of allergies as this restaurant don't listen to notes of allergies and exclude some ingredients like every single other restaurant we order from. Tried to ring to complain or get a refund as it's inedible due to allergies in the family. Completely ignored and left us ringing and ringing and ringing. Will not be ordering from again, only ordered from here as our favourite Chinese was closed this day. Will stick to Jaks Chinese and I highly recommend jaks Chinese, every bite of food is perfect and they actually read notes left on the order. Thanks
Lovely food, but think changed the recipe for gravy, didn't taste quite as nice as usual.
Visiting the area today, and thought we'd try some Chinese cooking. Had some chicken foo yung and chicken chow mein. Scrummy delicious. Nice large portions too. Would highly recommend.
Ordered food on monday, they added king prawns into my husbands food which was not included in the order. My hushand is allergic to all seafood and therefore he became very unwell. I called the takeaway who implied we asked for it in the order which we didn't, we had no apology. Will never be going back, disgusting service.
This is our usual choice for Chinese and food is normally good. On this occasion we waited nearly 2 hours for our delivery and when it came the food was not up to its usual standard and was Luke warm! Think we might try somewhere else next time.
