Great place. Not local to the area but arrived really late to our hotel and wanted proper food not fast food. So chose Jaks to get a nice meal and was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious chicken fried rice, the portion was enough for 1 adult and 1 child. Really liked you could order a side of rice with a main too so we didn’t need to get 3 separate meals and could share between us.
First timer, probably my last as I'm not a regular. Chips were stale, rice was overcooked/mushy meanwhile the food came early and was hot. The Crispy chilly beef was nice. ThanksFood: 3/5
First time using Jack's. Definitely won't be the last, the food was amazing and very efficient service and delivery 5*
Use to love this Chinese one of my favourites but it’s gone downhill now. I’m deeply disappointed this time I ordered my usual the Chilli and Garlic Chicken with fried rice the rice a mushy and the dish was salty, chicken was dry. I also ordered a Chicken and Mushroom soup and it taste like I was drinking pure salt had to pour it away. Waste of money
Jaks has really gone downhill, we have used this chinese for over 15 years, never really had a problem but now they are absolutely ridiculous! My order took an hour and 45 minutes to get to me which is ridiculous, it turned up cold and really is inedible. Also the prices have gone up numerous times over the last year supposedly changed their menu but still the same things just more expensive! I thought I would try them again after a while away, but I am regretting it now. Not sure if they are under new management but they are really bad. Foot is tasteless and not good at all. If I was you I would think again about using this takeaway as you will regret it!!! Don’t waste your money
SHOCKING SERVICE, SHOCKING ATTITUDE AND SHOCKING FOOD. I placed an order for gravy rice and chips X 2 on phone and was told 5 minutes. I was in shop within the 5 minutes and they said food wouldn't be long. Several people came in after me, ordered at counter waited a few minutes and left with their food. 3 times I asked where my food was, each time told won't be long! 25 MINUTES LATER my food came out. No apology but tried to give a free bag of prawn crackers! Staff attitudes stink and then the food was shocking! Chips where dry and undercooked and gravy burnt! Total waste of money. I HAVE USED THIS TAKEAWAY SINCE IT OPENED AND SPEND A LOT OF MONEY HERE. You have LOST a long loyal customer today, I will never use your TAKEAWAY again and will NEVER recommend again. Jaks loss! STAY AWAY FOLKS. Food and service has gone downhill lately. I have had to give one star but they deserve ZERO. My previous review was GREAT, how quickly things change!
Food not even hot had to ring shop ask were food was after hour . First time I've had bad service from hereFood: 1/5
Food just as good as always however, I am foaming with how the delivery driver spoke to me. I offered him a small tip due to not having more change, if I had more I would of gave a better tip anyway, he laughed at me for giving that, I was asking if he was being funny and he gave me the tip back. My partner came to the door and asked what was going on and lied to his face as apparently, I laughed at the driver for giving him a small tip which wasn't true. The driver also stated that he did us the favour delivering to us first. If I am going to get treated like that then I will not be ordering again.
Was our favourite Chinese for over 9 years. Never a fault. But recently had our order messed up twice now! Sadly now we will be looking for another regular Chinese takeaway.
Food was ready quick, and was all hot by time we got it plated up! The service was BEAUTIFUL, such a pleasant man serving in the shop. We couldn't believe the portion sizes, and the food was amazing. Beautifully cooked chicken and amazing flavours! Absolutely my new favourite place for Chinese food, reccomend to anyone. I'm going to be thinking about how lush this place is for weeks and weeks! Such a good Chinese!!!!!
