Hello, I've attempted to reach out to your company via email but have not received a response. I understand you have purchased my neighbour's property, and there are several complaints I’d like to raise with you: 1. Treatment of my neighbour: I am unhappy with the way my neighbour, an elderly lady, was treated during the process of the sale. In my opinion, it appears that she was taken advantage of throughout the process. I also understand from her that you attempted to pressure her into leaving the property early so that you could begin construction, despite her still owning it at the time. This caused her a great deal of mental stress. 2. Lack of communication: There was no prior warning given to the residents about the construction, which is unacceptable. 3. Construction work on prohibited days: It is important to note that Southwark Council restricts noisy construction work to specific hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. No noisy work is permitted on Sundays or public holidays. However, your work is being conducted on a Sunday, which is not allowed. 4. Impact on my property: The dust from the construction is completely covering my apartment, which is causing significant inconvenience. I am deeply disappointed by your attitude towards the people affected by this situation. I would appreciate your prompt attention to these matters.
As I see, they deleted all negative reviews... They are not estate agent, they are deposit hunters. Please be careful, do yourself a favor and avoid them. They pushed us to send a holding deposit for viewing. We offered 1 year rent in advance but after deposit, they said you can not afford for this flat. Are you kidding? I am saying, 1 year in advance and cash! We have guarantors, 3 companies in England, references... After sending the deposit, they said we gave the flat to someone else and did not refund our money. If I could I would given them a lower rating. Absolute waste of time and your money... AVOID!
Nelson’s is the worst agency in my opinion. I have had a horrible experience renting with them. The agents don’t care about their tenants only money and top of that are very rude, annoying and disrespectful. I pay an extremely high price for a flat that is not worth the price. In a 2200 pound flat expect many issues with Nelson’s. I had no running hot water for many weeks this happened twice the agent don’t care. The boiler was very old and broken and it took months of begging for a simple right to replace it. Moral of the story they care about money not about the tenants rights. Properties are expensive with many issues that are not disclosed .
My friend and I were really excited about this two-bedroom flat above Nelson’s office in Southwark. Aston, the estate agent, pushed us to send over a holding deposit post-viewing, only to later claim bank issues. It’s obvious that it was a lie —especially when he mentioned the landlord's sudden aversion to renting to students due to unrelated past issues. Despite our relentless inquiries, communication was pitiful. As hardworking students, we stressed our reliability and commitment, especially with us working 4 days a week and having uni 3 days, yet the landlord couldn't even be bothered to speak to us directly, exposing the sheer disdain some landlords have obviously they aren’t going to give a crap because they see tenants as money making machines. Despite Aston's promises to help us find another flat, we've been left high and dry, with no assistance in sight. If we were told from the BEGINNING that there is a problem with us being students, we wouldn’t have continued to push for this flat, but Aston kept reassuring us anytime we chased him up. It’s a shame, mostly because we are students… if we wouldn’t be at uni and were the same age and did the jobs we do, we would have gotten the flat. We both can afford it, we have guarantors and references that prove we are excellent tenants, I don’t see the problem? It really has irked us. In the end we found a way better flat, with a better agency that keeps us in the loop and had absolutely no problems with us being students. For your sanity, avoid Nelsons or the landlords in that specific building
such poor and deceptive behaviour by this company. We provided work over a long period of time and were not paid for our services. Had to write off thousands. Their partner office were ok but then syubsequently did the same thing. As a small business this is so crippling when agents treat suppliers so badly. We’ve had to chase and chase to get some payments made and still this year writing more money off as I've given up. Thanks Muniza.
They carry out repairs at 8.00am on Sunday Mornings and don't have the courtesy to notify the neighbouring apartments that they will be breaking the law.
Aston has been so great to work with - friendly, helpful and communicative from the very start. Really beautiful and well maintained house!
I used Nelsons for the 2nd time in a few years This year has been a nightmare to find a flat and after multiple offers and endless bidding wars we were still without a place! I contacted Aston and he immediately remembered me and took down all of our requirements and was in contact with me every few days with options that met our requirements....he has truely been a breathe of fresh air. We offered on a flat and had an answer within 2 hours. Nelsons and Aston have been a ray of sunshine to work with and are hands down the best by far!
What can I say.........above and beyond service by Estate Agents, Nelsons. They have been letting property for many many many years and have always secured great tenants and provided a fantastic service all round. I wanted to test the market in May and decided to put my flat up for sale. We officially closed today and I must say that I am most impressed with how proactive Aston was in moving things forward every step of the way, all with a positive energy. It made the process seamless and stress free! Thank you again and thanks to all at Nelsons.
Mike Junior went above and beyond in finding a flat for me. After working with others for a year Mike listened and found two flats that met my needs and I am now the proud owner of my perfect flat. He kept me informed on the process more than my own solicitor did and without him we would never have been able to exchange and complete in under two months. Even after completing he still helped me with a few odds and ends. He is smart, kind, honest, punctual and a great communicator. I have no hesitation in recommending him with 5 stars!
