I used to go to this café until a saw the chicken kebab been laid on top of a not very clean white bucket!
Used to be my local until i moved abroad i popped back recently just for the food that i missed. Staff are great very children friendly and the owners daughter is always welcoming. Once again good food highly recommend.
Nice little back street cafe between Borough, London Bridge and Southwark. Good value, well cooked food and friendly staff.
There are two types of people in this world, those who go to cafes which sell avocado on toast and those who go to cafes like this one which which sell proper wholesome grub. I have recently started going every Saturday morning as a treat and the food hits the spot especially when you’re nursing a hangover. In addition, the staff are lovely and the food is really good value for money e.g. £6.50 for a drink and 2 bacon and egg sandwiches. What my dad would have said about this place: “son, this cafe does what it says on the tin, it gets you full and doesn’t break the bank.”
Your standard cafe offering decent portions but with a bizarre pricing policy: omelette and chips is £3.80, but an omelette with salad instead of chips is £4.80! No interest in healthy eating then, but it’s not a ‘greasy spoon’ for nothing I guess! Staff were grumpy too. Thankfully, there are many better places to eat nearby.
Having eaten is several cafes it the area for fried breakfasts, I can safely say this has been the best one I have had so far. It is not going to win any awards for beast breakfast sausages but is still the best compared to anything else around. A good builders breakfast.
Very local diner atmophere, food was OK overpriced. Asked for rare steak arrived well done. Friendly stuff
Proper top quality caf. Best lunch in South London I say. Chicken Curry on Jacket potato all day.
Fantastic fresh food and really lovely service. Definitely the place to go if your in the borough area. Personal recommendation is their chicken kebab - it’s amazing!
Food is good, shame about the owners daughter needs to smile a bit more often, she could curdle milk with her look, miserable is an understatement, would I go in here again or recommend NEVER
