Car parking here is convenient and price if booked in advance is OK for 24hour overnight stay at Holiday Inn was cheaper £9.95 than hotel offers £11.95. But the car park could do with resurfacing and half the security lights don’t work and need immediate replacement. Managed to find working lights to park under so felt my car was reasonably secure but didn’t leave any valuables in it just in case.
A lot of space for parking and it is convenient to pay online even up to 24 hrs after parking. Very near to city centre.
From your car's point of view, it is not the best. The car park is rough, lots of holes. It is open air and there is little to no view for your car to look at when you abandon it in the centre of Glasgow. Saying that, the car park is very central, minutes from the St Enoch Centre and 12 minutes walk from Buchanan Galleries. I parked for 48 hours - pre booked, for less than £20. Half the price of the next nearest car park and a third of the price of many of the rest.
Whenever you go here, the machines are so slow that there is a 40-second delay after the previous user has left telling them to go within 15 minutes. The QR link promising £2.45 parking does not work. Typical NCP screwing the users over every time, get your act together you must be making enough money or are you just in the same league are private parking companies???
Avoid any car parks with machine and specially when machines are out of order, just walk or use public transport. We used NCP car park in Glasgow on holidays and the payment machine wasnt working. I tried to pay fees on the app no luck. When we went back home after hoildays few days later they sent the bill of £160 fine and they kept increasing the payment and reached £605. Avoid those dodgy money making car parks.
Would give this zero stars if I had the option. Paid 15.80 for 4 hours parking! Absolutely disgraceful. The charges seem to have doubled in the past few months. Will certainly not be using this car park again.
Great place to park, very easy too pay for your parking when you get back, very central for what we required spot on
Used King Street for the 1st time a couple of weeks ago. I was only popping in to get a couple of things so stayed no longer than an hour. Paid the parking charge which is evidenced on my bank statement then a week later received a NCP Parking Charge Notice claiming I had not paid, and a fine for £60.00-£100.00 is due. I am now wasting time appealing the fine!! Update: eventually received a letter stating the fine was not valid and that I need not take any further action - no apology. So, I've wasted around 5 hours for 1hr worth of parking!
Barely 90 mins parked on a Sunday and charged £5.95. this is an unmanned service so, even taking into account admin staff don't see how NCP can justify this price or blame cost of living rises
Decent size of car park, access is not bad but getting the app to work was a total faff and a good proportion of the car park looks like a something from Mad Max.
