IMO NJ is the most trustworthy place for trainer-fitting & the only place I'll buy trainers from; the right fit helps avoid injury. The gait analysis is service is worth having if you are able. Worth travelling to if you're not local I'm not. Very pleased with my purchases. Highly recommended. Thank you NJ! PS, Tip: Don't get a fitting here then buy trainers online from a cheapie supplier. I've heard you can be sent a cheaper quality product but it won't be obvious & you'll be risking injury. Stick with NJ.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Natterjack Running. I placed an order for a pair of shoes on June 1, 2024, and was charged £165. Despite several follow-up emails and assurances from their sales representative Ranjan that a new pair would be sent after my original parcel was supposedly damaged, I have yet to receive any tracking information or the shoes themselves. My initial inquiry on June 7th was met with a vague response and a promise of a replacement pair being shipped that week. On June 10th, I was informed that my parcel was damaged and returned to their returns department, with a promise of a replacement pair being sent out. However, as of June 12th, I still had no tracking information and no shoes. I requested a full refund but received no response. To make matters worse, their contact number listed on the website is never answered, making it impossible to resolve this issue directly. As a result, I have been forced to contact my bank to initiate a chargeback to get my money back. The lack of communication, unfulfilled promises, and overall poor customer service have been incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend Natterjack Running to anyone and urge potential customers to be cautious. To the Sellers response: Ranjan, their representative, claims that they have contacted me multiple times and issued a refund, but I have not seen any evidence of this refund. Additionally, Ranjan’s response to my review implies that my concerns are not valid and threatens to share screenshots of our communication, which is disappointing and unprofessional. I would like to point out that sharing screenshots containing personal information would be a breach of GDPR regulations. Furthermore, Ranjan acknowledged in his response that I found the trainers elsewhere, which were cheaper and arrived promptly. This indicates that he has seen my email but chose to ignore it rather than resolving the issue. The overall experience has been frustrating and stressful. I would now caution others to consider these issues before making a purchase with Natterjack Running.
Purchased a pair of shoes on Tuesday at 9am. Website states 1-2 delivery on all order placed before 12pm on weekdays. Its now Saturday afternoon at 2:40pm and still nothing. After emailing i got a response to say evri didnt collect on the wednesday and it should of been sent next day. Apparently was taken to collection depo thursday but still nothing. Asked multiple times for any form of tracking and been completely ignored. Have now missed the run i was hoping to use them for and just shocked at the poor service. Not only that but i was charged £6.25 forj delivery which is daylight robbery. Jn reply to your answer- you know exactly who i am and my order as i’ve since emailed 3 more times and you haven't answered- yeah i paid for a service that i expected to recieve my item on wednesday/thursday latest…not a week later?
Echoing the previous reviews of bad service, with particular rudeness from the owner. On the initial visit, the owner was more than friendly and happy to sell me the trainer, encouraging me to have a try of them outside the shop. When I returned home I realised that the shoe wasn’t what I was actually needing. Understanding this was a small business, I went in with the intention to exchange the shoes for a more suitable pair. The owner came out very abruptly and stated how he would struggle to sell the shoes now that they have been worn outside. I explained how he had encouraged me to wear them outside and to this he ignorantly said “Well I didn’t force you to”. I’m not sure what bad faith he likes to operate in within his company, but this really does not sit right with me. Does he encourage you to wear them outside so you cannot return them? Regardless, the tone of voice surprised me. It’s also worth noting they don’t even allow full refunds at this store- only credit notes that expire. It is further worth noting that the prices are significantly more than the average retail price, with the original shoes I bought being almost double what everywhere else was selling them for. It’s of no surprise to me that others have reviewed similar experiences.
Avoid the Southport Natterjack shop at ALL costs. The guy who owns it is nothing but rude to customers and clearly only bothered about taking money and not providing an all round strong customer service. His manner when I attempted to change shoes I had purchased was disgusting. I left shaking at how I was spoken to. I am going to leave a second review on the Liverpool store as their staff are on the other end of the scale. I travelled specifically over to that store for them to rectify the terrible service I had received in Southport. The staff there are brilliant and deserve to work for a better employer. What’s even funnier is that the rude man in Southport who owns the company went on how he did me a ‘great deal’ and then in Liverpool the exact same trainers were on sale for cheaper than he sold them to me, so he just completely lied to my face to get more money out of me. Thank you to the Liverpool store - Callum and Peter
We like to shop locally and dont mind paying a premium to ensure we are doing our bit for the local economy. Last September we purchased a pair of Brooks for my wife and purchased another pair in January for a total cost of 260 pounds. Bear in mind my wife does not run, she uses them to walk and swaps between the two pairs. The inner layer between the big toe and the other mesh, has developed a hole. The owner of the shop cited that 7 out of every 10 pairs of trainers develop this fault, and that its the manufactures problem and they know about it. Okay replace the trainers then, his reply was he sells the shoes and and its the manufactures fault, not his. Okay, well why not tell us about this issue when we bought the trainers! "I cant foretell the future". My advise to anyone who considers purchasing shoes from this company is to buy them online and save yourself some money and not have to deal with people like him. He is only interested in your money and once he has it, he has no intention of helping in the event of a problem. Its a pity really, he has taken this attitude, as we have supported his business for years for 20 years in Liverpool and Southport.
Similar to the previous comments, i am a returning customer to this store in Southport. I consciously try to shop locally rather than buy from the big retailers. However they will not return unworn trainers so be careful in shopping here. I tried a pare of trainers on in store and when I got home tried on again and decided I did not like the colour of them. I was unable to exchange due to a spec of dirt on the bottom of the sole which wiped off. Can’t see past the end of his nose. Unfortunately better of making the rich richer
Very poor service from a very rude man. I went in on 28/1/23 to look for some trainers. I advised the man serving in the shop that I was just looking today as I had asked for money for my birthday the following week and would be buying them then. He told me he didn’t go shopping without money to buy there and then and if I wasn’t buying today he wasn’t going to bother getting out any trainers to try on. I appreciate some customers waste shop owners time and then buy online but that was not my intention. I won’t be going back there again. How small businesses with rude unhelpful staff compete with large firms like Sports Direct is a mystery !
Worst experience I’ve ever had in a shop. Was told unless I was leaving a deposit or prepared to say in advance I was definitely purchasing the trainers there and then, I wasn’t allowed to try them on. Absolutely bizzare customer service. Real shame as I was really looking forward to buying my trainers but this has put me off ever going back in
Awful after sales customer service. I will never shop here again. Thankfully the manufacturer helped me with my query. I will now buy direct in future.
