If there was an option for zero stars. Booked a van this week to be dropped off between 8am-10am today, no show. Call the customer care line, to be told they can't get hold of the driver, call back at 11am in case the drop off is late as we understand not everything goes to plan to be told again no correspondence from the driver dropping off. Canceled booking and the person at the call centre explained she is from an external company and its not guaranteed a refund ‍ DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. Absolutely poor service.

Would have given a zero star for this if there is an option. Single handed f-ed my moving schedules, 2 days in a roll. They had a flat tire situation that caused a failure of the delivery, but I did not get a single call from Nationwide regarding the issue until I called after they exceeded their promised delivery time. They said they would send a replacement at the later time slot which, no news again until I called, with the reason of "No Driver available" even I offered to pick up the van myself and apparently you cannot. So they offered and promised to send a replacement vehicle on the next day and later the day I received an email about the reservation was turned down due to an incident involving an allocated vehicle, so I emailed them to confirm if they were referring to my original reservation or their "next day" replacement. And obviously no one responded. I started calling at 8 during their office hour and had been keep calling until 11:08 am when someone finally answered. They said my reservation has been refunded as there were no vehicle and driver available at the time. By the time my partner and I had already took 2 days off for this non-sense, and I now have to take another day off because most vehicle rental company does not have available vehicle at the time. F-ed us over with a single hand.

I waited home all afternoon/evening for the driver to collect the van from my house. No one showed up and I was not even warned of the delay. I called on the next day because I was worried, and instead of being apologetic or trying to send a driver asap, I was reminded that I was liable for the van parking fees or fines until it was collected. It was very annoying considering that I live in Central London. They showed up the next day around 11am. I found this extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Never again.

I’m giving this company 3 stars only because the van was actually nice to drive.  It turned up late and was dirty inside and out.  The screen wash was empty with the warning light on.  The interior also smelled of cigarettes.  Shame because with a little effort they could be so much better.  You do wonder who’s in charge as I wouldn’t run my company like that.

Absolutely appalling service, late drop off which delayed our day completely. Pick up next day was due between 8am-10am it’s now 13:30pm & still waiting, every time we call they promise to call back with an answer but never do. We have been left in an empty house with a baby because of this disgusting company! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE USELESS!!

I paid £1600 for a 6 seater and they cancelled 3 days before our family holiday. Very poor communication either by email or phone. They only refund within 28 days. No offer of alternative vehicle. Do not use this company they are completely unreliable. Recommend you pay more and use enterprise.

Unfortunately I had a very poor experience with NVR. I booked a van for 2 days for a house move, and was told the night before via email that it wouldn’t be delivered until midday I’d booked it for 9:30am. Midday came and went with no communication and I had to call to find out what was happening.  After 20min waiting to be connected, I was told the driver was delayed and would be closer to 3pm. This then turned into 4pm, by which time I took the option to cancel as my plans had already been majorly disrupted. It has now been 8 working days with no refund on my card. As an aside, the hold music on their phone system is also awful I’ve experienced a lot of it just with this one booking!. I would never use NVR again.

Not even worth one star ! only gave it to register the review! .Hired a van and then cancelled 2 days before, they held me to their 72 hrs cancellation notice, took full payment yet a month later still waiting for my deposit to be returned, Im incuring daily interest charges on the deposit they took, mickey mouse company dont use them ..ever!!

Absolutely diabolical. Reserved van for moving over the weekend. Money taken, confirmation that all details correct.  After hearing nothing regarding confirmation I called, was assured someone would call back. Chased again the following morning and finally told that no vans were available for the next two weekends, and that the email that should have been sent hadn't been. Useless.

Rented a van from here when moving house. From booking the van to picking it up, it was really easy and hassle free. They have such a great selection of vans to choose from and it is much cheaper, and better, than the services that offer vans for rent by the hour! All of the staff are really helpful, professional and explain everything in full when you pick up your vehicle. All you need to do is make sure you return it with a full tank of fuel - no paying for a pence per mile driven! Would highly recommend this place - it will be my go to place for van rentals in the future!
