Always a good pub for some decent ales. Well run & Covid safe. Looking forward to visiting again in better times
I really like the narrow boat. Always sell very good real ales. A good place to relax. They also do contactless payment for a minimum of £5 but you can make a tab.
Love this place. Started going there 25 years ago because they banned smoking in there long before the official smoking ban. Very dog friendly with loads of real ale. Superb mezzanine floor structure over main bar. I visit as often as my wife allows.
Had the ‘pie of the day’ or more like last week! Un chewable beef, pastry that required a pneumatic drill to penetrate, no gravy. Vegetables were good! All else was average.
Excellent food. The regular menu is limited with daily specials making up the gaps. The bartenders were friendly and helpful with selections
Sat outside had a couple of drinks and watched the world go by. Friendly staff and a good range of beers. Worth a try.
A long term favourite of ours. The atmosphere has suffered a bit during the Covid restrictions, but still a great venue.
