We was last here 15 years ago but only had beer we ate lunch shepherds pie and steak and ale pie to finish treacle sponge everything was cooked to order came piping hot all the staff where friendly and warming only wish the Albion was my local sadly we live 30 miles away good selection of dishes traditional food thank you well worth a visit
Well....disappointing is an understatement. The girl behind the bar took our order for food...so far so good. Then my wife had her food served minus cutlery I mean its not like were civilised and use cutlery to eat fingers are every bit as good. Anyhow further into the saga I am still waiting for my stack pie.... oh that would be the steak pie which they gladly took the order for along with my wife's lasagne. 10 minutes later after my wife's food was served ...apparently they had run out of steak pie and "would you like to order something else" was the offer mmm let me think about this for a moment...eh NO I WILL GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ....possibly not the best experience of this pub....who knows maybe on another day they would get it right....but as there are plenty more pubs in the area I won't be taking the chance
Lovely kind staff. The cook changed my food order to allow for my allergy problems but then I was taken ill with another problem and not only could not eat my Sunday Lunch but was very sick too. The staff really looked after me, even to following me to the ladies to make sure I was okay. Even the locals near us said not to worry, not pleasant for them but they were kind. A terrible waste of what looked like a good Sunday lunch. Hopefully one day I'll return for a meal but we aren't local.
Very welcoming atmosphere. Me and my wife went in on quiz night book your table in advance, had a great night. All the staff were very friendly, would definitely go back when we are in Skipton.
Absolutely beautiful, jacket potatoes are lovely x will definitely be back there next time we in Skipton, prices are very reareasonable, and the service is second to none, definitely the place to go,
Lively & friendly back street pub off the centre of town. Had a very decent Sunday lunch & some well kept beer. Very helpful staff. It's clearly well loved by locals but we felt very welcomed.
Excellent traditional town centre pub in Skipton. No juke box, no yobs. Good range of reasonably priced ales and bar food. Lovely obliging staff all do their bit to offer the best service.
