Had one of the best customer satisfaction twice from Nando's Lakeside @ the broadwalk. Claudio and his team are great. Once I went there starving when the restaurant was extremely full. Knowing Nando's wait time on such a day is horrendous. Spoke to Claudio and he was so quick with the service and saved my hungry self that day. He played with my two year old and gave her little extras to make her happy. Thanks Claudio and all the team. Lovely smiles, happy people and such good food.

I visited this establishment today having driven from Birmingham to Essex. I was greeted by a sign which said that they will not be open until 12 due to a staff meeting. As I did see people in the restaurant with children sat at the dining tables, I was unsure if diners were able to sit in the restaurant and wait for service. The front door was open I opened the door to be greeted by a member of staff who simply said "we are not open" and then closed the door. I didn't realise that this was considered appropriate customer service, but not service which I wish to experience again. No thank you Nandos - extremely disappointed.

The wait for chicken was 20 minutes and I was not informed until I was seated. To make matters worse after I sat down, they told me I had to wait for 35 minutes and I was here with my family for mother’s day. We eventually got frustrated and asked them to make our order take away. Even our plates from our starters were never cleared from the time it was given to us till the time we left. I do not recommend this Nando’s if you want quick service. Even the one star is not merited😡😡😡

Nando’s is always a great option when going out to eat. The service is spot on and there is nice seating available. Expect a queue at the busiest of times. Highly recommended :)
