As always, Nando’s never fails to bring the flavour and fantastic food. Nando’s Portsmouth is on the second level of Gunwharf Quays, and although it’s busy, you usually don’t have to wait too long for a table as they turn them around efficiently. The food is what you’d expect from Nando’s - and there is always something new that they’re bringing out too. However, in my opinion, you can’t beat a Fino Pitta. The staff are always quick and friendly considering how many people can fit in the restaurant. If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat in Gunwharf Quays - Nando’s won’t let you down!
Not many staff on duty on a busy lunch service. Staff that were working very helpful amid being a bit slower than usual due to how busy they were. Food was goodFood: 5/5

Food ok but only just warm. I had to go and speak with one of the supervisors and tell them we had waited over half an hour agfer ordering. The food must have been on the pass for 10 minutes at least. Sorry Nandos, Not the best service. Wont be back.Food: 2/5
The chicken served at this Nando's was the worst I've ever seen. I've had burnt chicken at a couple of restaurants in the past, but this, in my opinion, was worse than them. There were 3 people in my party who ate chicken, and for all of the meals they were cooked until they were white so the way through, safe to eat, but not a moment more. There was nothing crispy about the "crispy" skin joining the butterfly chicken. The wings were soft and damp. The chicken breasts had no golden colour to them. That is not how to cook chicken, let alone Nando's-style chicken. I won't be returning, and the two people I introduced to Nando's for the first time have no idea why I usually like the brand. Your chefs need better training.
The food here was fairly typical Nando’s. Reasonable value, adequate portion size and tasty too. I’m not a frequent visitor to the chicken chain but was surprised to see mac ‘n’ cheese on the menu, but incurring an extra £1.00 fee. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth the additional charge? I don’t think so. Service was a little underwhelming. It was a Sunday lunchtime, which meant that it was busy, but one till in use to pay meant that placing an order took an eternity! And whatever happened to the chicken on a stick that was once placed on the table - and only removed when your satisfaction was checked upon? No chicken on a stick and not an ounce of interest in us as customers. All in all, pretty mediocre.
Came here during a work trip and had a mixed experience. Firstly we had quite a wait at the door for someone to speak to us despite not being too full and staff walking past us multiple times. Three of us in the group, myself and one other had a decent experience once we got our food but the third person didn’t as we needed to ask where their food was and then their thighs were burnt when it came to the table. The staff were really friendly once we were seated though!
We had our dining at Nando's today in table number 22 today and I experienced an unfortunate incident involving one of your staff members. Regrettably, the staff member a lady handling our table exhibited unprofessional behavior by throwing our food plate onto our table. This behavior was not only shocking but also highly disrespectful. It significantly detracted from what would have otherwise been an enjoyable dining experience at Nando's. I believe it's crucial for management to be aware of such incidents to ensure that they are promptly addressed and that the quality of service is maintained at the highest standards. I hope that appropriate measures will be taken to address this matter and prevent similar occurrences in the future.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nando's Restaurant in Portsmouth and tried their famous Chicken Butterfly dish. Let me just say, it was an absolute delight for my taste buds! From the moment the plate arrived at my table, I knew I was in for a treat. The chicken butterfly was perfectly cooked, tender, and succulent. The butterfly cut allowed for even cooking, resulting in juicy meat with a slight smoky flavor infused into every bite. The marinade was a harmonious blend of herbs and spices, creating a tantalizing explosion of flavors. It had just the right amount of heat, providing a mild kick without overpowering the overall taste. The dish was accompanied by a generous portion of peri-peri fries and a vibrant, crisp salad. The fries were perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside.
