Story

The Namaste India is the first Indian Vegetarian Restaurant in Norwich and Norfolk, featuring the best vegetarian and vegan food with authentic Indian taste. We are located in the heart of Norwich city centre on Opie Street which connects the busy London street and the historical castle meadow.

Combining informal service with a smile and Indian customs in a lively atmosphere, with melodious Indian music, Namaste India is a unique place to eat, drink and meet friends.

During the daytime Namaste India serves authentic Indian food with fresh Salad in buffet/Thali style whilst in the evening and Sunday daytime we offer a fine dining menu developed by Indian lady chef Urmila Jetani which is rare to find in Indian restaurants in Norfolk.

We serve internationally inspired vegetarian and vegan food, prepared with finest locally and internationally sourced ingredients. Run by (but not just for) vegetarians, our fresh and imaginative dishes are prepared daily on the premises. We aim to deliver an experience to our customers which is unique with Namaste India Restaurant. Special diets are normally not an issue, please get in touch.

Namaste India is open during the day time lunch hours Monday to Saturday from 11.30 am until 2.30pm and in the evening Tuesday to Sunday from 6.30 pm until 11.30 pm.

Namaste India Restaurant accepts all major credit and debit cards. Our restaurant is unlicenced and we promise you that you will not need alcohol with your food. However, we give our customer choice for “Bring Your Own”
