Pleasantly surprised the last few times I have visited The Nag's Head both in the afternoon and evening. Very friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks and good jukebox allowing you to choose music from your phone. Lager options include Beavertown Neck Oil and Moretti. Will definitely be one of my new regular pubs.

Hadn't been for a while but this pub has been updated. The front of the pub is much the same but the rear has been expanded and modernised with easy access to the small but inviting garden at the back. Good to see an old fashioned sort of pub is still present in a modern town centre.
Use this pub until New owner take-over as all room and toilets changed and look better than before. Having one pint of Fuller's London Pride and left. Might will visit again.

I have patronised this pub since 2001. There has been several management changes since. Current owners Phil and Lucy are a truly welcoming couple who have transformed the layout of the patronised area. Proper pub experience
Nice pub really busy , bit of an issue getting access to the bar , but when you finally get there friendly efficient staff. Nice outside space .
First time in since revamp, very charming pub with friendly staff. More of a pub vibe than bar-unlike many nearby. Definitely go again!
Nice little City centre boozer, had a cheeky pint of London Pride in there Friday night after a curry with a mate, very pleasant. Friendly staff, bit of room at the bar, spare table and quick service - what more could you want?
