Yes they probably get results, but no I wouldn't recommend. If you're feeling depressed and vulnerable about your weight be careful, make sure you ask for prices before you go so you can make an unpressured decision about if it's right for you, otherwise you could be swept into situation that's difficult to get out of. Details of what happened are below, but I think their lack of professional discretion in their response shows what happens when they decide you're not 'their type of client';
 After I completed the online application forms I was phoned to say I'd been successful in the first part of the application. Unfortunately due to work I made an appointment about a week later to go and see them for the face to face application part. In the meantime I received about 2 or 3 emails telling me to hurry and sign up because places where limited and the closing date for applications was soon.
When I turned up to the gym I was kept waiting for about 20 minutes even though my email confirmation said to make sure I was 5 minutes early. I was then taken into a back room and we discussed why I wanted to join, at times I was emotional, anyone who is desperate to lose weight will understand how hard it is. About an hour into the interview, I'd been weighed and had the results analysed and told what my results could be, I was shown pictures of successful clients before and after the program but there was no mention of price and the general feeling I got was that my agreement was a minor formality; that I was so desperate I was willing to pay whatever they asked. 
During my interview I was told about a customer who had just signed up for the course, where she lived, her hobbies, her previous experience of personal trainer's. Given very personal details about them. 
Only when I was expected to let them take a photo of me in my underwear for my before photo did I actually stop the conversation and ask about price! I hadn't even agreed to sign up and they expected me to strip for a photo! 
When I raised concerns about being swept along with the process​ and feeling pressured to sign up I was told that no one else had ever said that and my application was withdrawn because they didn't want me bringing negativity into the class! In my opinion that was a completely inappropriate response.
