The museum is tucked away at St John's Gate and is easy to miss - but don't let an opportunity to pop in pass you by! Combining medieval history with the modern day, the museum tracks the long and turbulent history that defines the Order of St John.
Amazing to see the history of the order of st john. It os great to go through all the areas, learn about how they gained and lost the land and then regained it again, just sad to see they had to rebuy it back.
Free admission. Highly recommend the guided tour as it covers a great part of the Order's history over the various areas. The tour also takes you across the street to the Priory Church of St. John. My visit was 3 hours. Gift shop present.
Excellent presentation of the history of St John. Ensure you attend on days the Church, Crypt and apstairs areas are available to view and take some time to sit in the church garden for peaceful reflection.
Really enjoyable museum with a nice history line on St John's ambulance.
