Great first impressions poor after-sales/support! Ok lets start from the beginning I visited the garage at the start of January 2017 & saw an Audi A6 2008 for just shy of £4K. No pressure sales. After taking it for a test spin I decided to buy the car. Fantastic finally found a car after shopping for 3months+. Car came with full Service history at 145kmiles this is very important. I was offered AUTOGUARD 3months WARRANTY PREMIUM for £100 i decided to take with the vehicle after there recommendation and was told it covers everything. After no more than 7 weeks the car had a fault, I called MrMotorZ and they advised I had it looked at by a local garage to save me driving all the way back to them. After diagnostics it was known to be the Flywheel at fault and needed to be replacement - fair enough I have warranty. But to my dismay the warranty does not cover it as its "wear n tare". Due to this I called up MrMotorZ and ask for there advice they said strongly that it should be covered. After this i spoke again with MrMotorz and they had me return the car to them involving 2 cars to travel 200miles in total this time for them to have a Mechanic look and check, 2days later having to chase what’s wrong I hear there is a faulty flywheel, as it was not covered the garage said they would honour there sale and fix for free but with a 2nd hand part off ebay that could last 1 week or 5years who knows. Personally after spending my hard earned cash I was not really happy to have a car that could die any minute!! The owner mentioned its best to buy a new one and he will fit for free as its guaranteed to last but will cost me £135 to upgrade! I decided to go with his advice and get the new part much to my dissatisfaction as I had shelled out £100 for the warranty he advised yet would offer no support in fighting my case to get my £100 back for the uselessness of the Warranty by Autoguard. No compensation was offered for the 200+ miles. 2 weeks later the car has started to make another sound in the engine area - with my dad being a mechanic I got him to check it out first before wasting time going to Peterborough again! when he had a brief look without a ramp he could see BOLT MISSING from the Turbo which then raised concerns to what else could not be done correctly so with this I called up MrMotorZ again and explained that I need it sorting as my OP is getting close 2weeks. there first option again was to go local first yet i haven't got any money back to pay the garage from the first time locally £100 I demanded they look at it as I only have 4 days off left from work before my operation, they eventually agreed to look at it. wasting a day off & another 200miles At first they thought it may have been a faulty flywheel fitted, fair enough parts can be faulty I accept that. After they had time to look they believe it to be the starter motor that is "lazy" apparently and it SHOULD live the work should last years or it could break in weeks best thing is to keep driving it and see how it goes. knowing full-well my op is soon & i wont drive it for 4 months So in my opinion there is a fault with the starter motor so I said surely the warranty or yourself will replace this at no cost to me. Yet again the warranty fails miserably and the owner denies responsibility of the warranty sale or to replace the part!! After a delay in the rear wiper motor it meant both my days off went and I could not get to collect the car. I asked if they could support me & help a guy out by having someone meet me there at 8pm & hand me the keys. This was apparently too much trouble. They mentioned they would give me some fuel money after doing almost 700miles, they gave me less than half a tank Wow thanks. Not Happy, I’ve got a car I paid alot for that is not 100% and they are offering nothing but more cost to me & due to life situation I’m going to have to just take it as it is. If I was in a better situation I would take this further. GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE BUYING FROM THESE! *no support *had to chase *no remorse *miss-selling
Terrible experience AVOID. Bought a car that I travelled to view. The images taken disguised cosmetic damage that I haggled to have removed from the price. Somehow after driving home I noticed I wasn’t actually given the V5 and was promptly told that I needed to pay more for it to have an MOT because I got the car at a good price. Needless to say I had it MOT’ed and found it needed full rear calliper replacements because they had bound to the disks on my drive home. Absolutely disgusting con men who keep changing the name of the business to disguise it after so many bad reviews. Save yourself the hassle and don’t shop here!
We recently bought a car from here and i have to say, it's been an enjoyable experience. We was able to give the car a good inspection and the staff were honest and very helpful. Once we bought our car, we had a slight problem that they are only too happy to sort out by sending the car to the main dealer to rectify the problem. They accept part exchange, and you can pay with card. Test drives are also welcome here. They offer warranty on most vehicles too. I highly recommend.
The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They really look after their customers and cars. I cannot thank them enough for helping me chose my car and listening to what I needed. My partner also brought a car from them around 6 months ago and we are both extremely happy with the cars and the service we were given.
I live in West Sussex and we recently travelled a 300 mile round journey to purchase a fantastic Mazda 6 Estate from Mr Motorz and we've been overjoyed with the car ever since. Throughout the process the staff were outstanding and they provided a first class professional service prior, during and post the sale. They are friendly, reliable and trust worthy which is rare within the car sales sector. If you want to buy a car ensure to give these guys a call first. When I'm ready to purchase another car - I will be travelling to Peterborough to visit Mr Motorz and you should too...you won't regret it!
Fantastic service and very helpful sales staff. I purchased an Audi A4 sline from them and it has been fantastic. The car came with full service history and they even carried out a full service for me at no extra cost. There was a few marks on the body work but that was expected given its age/ mileage and price. I payed £3500 for a car that i couldnt find elsewhere for less than £4000. After purchase i took the car to my friend who is an MOT tester for a once over. To my suprise there was nothing needing to be fixed and he commented how good condition the car was in, considering its miles 132k. I Would definitely recommend these guys.
I bought a car from this garage, first of all I called them and asked if it was worth coming, and they said it was a very good car, I arrived and paid the asking price without negotiating a penny, I left the car to behaved well at the moment but the next day surprise: the car did not start, after countless attempts it started and emitted a lot of white smoke, I called them I told them the problem, they were willing to give me help by paying for the injectors, but surprise I drove to a local garage and the car was full of problems, discs and brakes were pathetic, oil spills tires near the limit and much more, I'm not a mechanic I believed their word, but I was deeply disappointed .. I paid £ 2785 now the car will get to scrap for £ 100..I DO NOT RECOMMEND! offers only verbal warranty. nothing official. RUN run RUN !!!!
Bit of a late review for this lot, but better late then never as they say. I bought a Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi 08 plate of these guys back in September 2014, when I first called to ask them about the general condition of the vehicle as I could spot a few faults in the photos they were very quick to debunk them. However when I finally turned up to pick up the car as took their word they were minor issues, were not and would fail an MOT. So they agreed to knock some money off. At this point I really should have just drove back home as it should have sent alarm bells ringing! But as I needed a car for work they kind of had me at the point if I drove to pick up the other car I wanted which was in Birmingham I would have pretty much have drive across the midlands from Nottingham. So back to the car, having washed off the polish and got it up on a ramp, there were tell tale signs it had had accident damage; over spray, resprayed door; original colour back but painted silver and a poor job at that, rear quarter panel had been filled in and again over sprayed, this was successfully hidden by a lot of polishing, the rear nearside alloy was also badly buckled and had been sorted by using counter weights this was an advisory item on MOT, the same buckled wheel had a cut tyre which needed replacing something they did eventually knock some money off on but they knew was an MOT fail yet said it was perfectly legal, Wing mirror bolt had been over tightened and threaded as a result flapped at speed, The interior vanity light had been ripped out and refitted incorrectly so had to replace the whole unit. Finally the DPF as with all diesel cars eventually gets blocked so you have to go buy a new one or get it reconditioned, I chose the latter. The lad carrying out the work calls me and starts asking, Have I tried to take the engine out or crashed it? To which I respond "NO" and that's where he tells me its missing a lot of bolts that hold stuff in place in the engine bay and surrounding! Now fair enough the car had done a fair bit of mileage but I've had higher mileage cars in the past! None of them have had the amount of hidden issues as this. All in all these guys sold me a car which no doubt they knew had had some hard impact in a crash which was probably unreported or they fixed it themselves and flogged it to me. Things may have changed since I bought my car, but I thought I would provide you all with a full breakdown of how bad of a car I was sold!
We got a car from mr motorz recently and was in amazing condition. After doing 800 miles it needed a new fuel filter. I wasnt sure what they would be like when i rang. They were amazing, so prompt in sorting and even offered to ferry me and my son to and from the station. We met all 3 guys that work there and they could not have been nicer.I was really impressed with how genuine they were and quick in sorting the problem. Will deffinately be using them in the future for cars and would highly reccomend them. Thank you Mr Motorz, good to see customer service is not dead.
I purchased a blue Zafira in February. I bought it on a rainy day, i was told the car is in a very good condition but when looking at it in dry weather i noticed the bonnet was full of stone chips and other marks, and I mean FULL of them. Some of the car was even touched up with a marker pen!! I had to take it to a body shop and although it is still not perfect it is much better. I don't expect this when I'm paying over 4 grand for a car. I came along way for this car and I bet they was praying for rain when I said I was going to come view it. Also the tyres were borderline illegal. I wish I looked up the reviews before I even considered purchasing from these people! Avoid like the plague!
