We bought a car with car world, initially the sales team were great, got a good deal and advised the car although high mileage had been well serviced and looked after. We were happy with this and trusted them.  After two days I had smoke coming out the engine and it struggled to start, I called up and they said they would look at the car in a few days. I took the car to them and got told nothing was wrong and diesels sometimes smoke after oil changes. I then drove 10 minutes away from the dealership and broke down again, and had to get recovery to take me back to the garage. The car clearly was not a safe car, to have had two breakdowns since buying it within a week is not okay.  In hindsight I should have looked at other reviews, we were asked on the day of purchase to leave a good review… so a lot of the good reviews you see are likely to be due to this. I appreciate not every car will have an issue but it certainly seems like these guys are cowboy dealers.  As soon as you have bought the car, the sales people have no interest and the after sales are very stand off ish. I said I wanted to speak to the manager and was told that I wasn’t allowed too as the manager speaks through his floor staff which again I found weird. Overall a very bad experience. The only positive was that the car was accepted back and the deposit was refunded, although this did take a while and a lot of phone calls.

We came in today, Sunday, to look at cars, just look. But we were pleasantly surprised at the value for money this dealership offers! We were looked after by Lexi, the lovely sales lady who was very friendly and reassuring and sold us a great car. We dealt with Harry, the business manager, who went through everything we needed to know and showed/suggested all the best options for us.and makes a great cuppa! We’d highly recommend both of these two super staff members! And we’d strongly recommend this Car Dealership for the choice and quality of vehicles they offer!

Absolutely terrible service from them. I reserved I car online and asked for a part ex valuation. Told them every little bump and scratch on my car and any issues with it. Was totally honest with them.  Arrived at the place and did a test drive of the car I had reserved. It was in worse condition than they had described and service wasn't up to date, but was fine with that. Then they offered me £500 less than agreed for my part exchange. I started walking out and they said I needed to wait to be refunded my deposit. Half an hour later the manager comes over and tries bargaining with me. What a surprise, he can offer me more for my part exchange.  I did end up accepting 100 less for my part ex because I had already driven all the way down the Peterborough and to go back home empty handed would have cost half that in petrol anyway. But clearly they did this as a tactic, offer high to get you in the door then try and screw you over. Absolutely sick of the guy there, just trying to squeeze every last penny out of the customer.  What could have been a pleasant simple exchange leaving both of us happy, meant I ended up leaving there with a very sour taste in my mouth and Absolutely no confidence in after sales if I needed to use it. Won't buy from there again and would suggest others to avoid.

Loved the car until . . . . Discovered the bodge jobs - half of my fuse box has been welded to keep the old starter motor working to make sure it was sold, part of the door fascia fell off because it was glued on with a glue gun to make it look good, and the supplied by Renault tools are missing completely. Wouldn't go here again and wouldn't advise anyone else to do so. The car was not cheap for its age, either.

Heard about the place from a good friend of mine and went out to check the place and ended up leaving with a car. Had an amazing experience with Steve which helped my with the purchase of a BMW series 3, the process went very smooth and it was easy to finance. Once again big appreciate to Steve for helping me with all the technical questions, would highly recommend the place. Amazing experience! Once again, thank you Steve!

I had a very good experience here. The test drive was straightforward and I had the opportunity to ask lots of questions. I was also offered a decent part exchange amount for my old vehicle. I felt absolutely no pressure to go ahead with the purchase and the whole experience was surprisingly relaxing.

Wish I could leave no stars. Left high & dry from purchasing a 68 reg car that now needs a new engine. My mental health, personal life, work and sleep have all been effected. Dealership only cared when they were taking my money. I’d never buy from here again and encourage others to read the 1* trust pilot reviews before visiting.

Paid a small fortune + vat for my partners car to be delivered driven to our address. Apple play is not connected and now an additional £250 must be paid from our pockets to connect full link.  I could go on and on here but probably would need a few pages.  Moral of the story...Inspect a car before buying and carefully read the fine print!

Had an issue with a knocking noise and the heads-up display on our Renault Scenic, dropped the car off yesterday afternoon, received a call this morning to say it was done, picked it up, no noise whatsoever!!! Heads-up display replaced. Fantastic quick service!! Thanks guys!! Would highly recommend!!

Great experience today at Car World. The team were very helpful and attentive when buying my first car. All aspects of the purchase were explained clearly and I felt confident making the right decision for me.
