Quality has gone down! After visiting this place a few years ado and the family enjoying the fish and chips and sausage and chips, we visited again on the evening Wed 24th Aug 2022, place was quiet around 7.30pm and we sat down to place our order. Order consisted of fish and chips, sausage and chips and battered sausage and chips with canned drinks. Pros ~ First impressions looked good Good Portions Staff Friendly All food served is Halal Tasty sausage Cons~ Seats all have tears in them, looking very old and dated All battered food was totally tasteless Cod was a little too soggy Issue maybe their oil used? Drinks very pricey Charge 0.30p for any sauces, tartar, mayo, ketchup Would we return in the future? Unfortunately no as there are a number of other fish and chip places to try, which is a sham as they used to be so good.
Great fish and chips cooked to order fresh, crispy, delicious.. would recommend eat in or take away lovely.
Go here often when visiting blackpool... they always make fresh fish and chips love, there can be a slight wait but that all depends on the time of year or day you go... but it's okay having a slight wait if the food is fresh and hot... They charge 20p for the sauces which isn't alot... they only do cash payments which is slightly a downside as not everyone carries around cash nowadays... They have parking on the road which is paid parking but it's hard to find a spot when it's peak season... This place serve some halal options on their menu which is a bonus but you would need to still ask and verify the options available... The slight downside is that the portion sizes are rather small for the price your paying and would be good if they gave a free sauce sachet and the rest bought... The seating is very minimal which isn't the best during peak as your stood around waiting for a seat...
Had an amazing experience, the lady from the chippy gave us a free kids meal as I lost my bank card and wasn’t able to pay. Overwhelmed with the emotions and such a great people around us. By the way, the chips and sausage were delicious especially when your child was expecting it but in very last minute you have to say no - I can’t buy it due to some kindness lady she had her lunch and it makes us very happy and full Thank you very much xx
This has to be the BEST fish and chips I have ever had! Cooked fresh in front of you, the portion sizes are great even the kids meal, value for money, room to sit and eat inside, the lady running the place was pleasant. Overall i would travel from Manchester to Blackpool just for this food. 5*
Found this place just by chance as we decided to walk further up. Food was nice service was fine. Glad we got there when we did as it got really busy so seems a popular place prices what you would expect for area
There workers look like racists. they always treat the Asia's/Brown people so differently. they go make faces and make angry noices like we did something bad and sometimes they would ignore us
Gorgeous food, lovely friendly staff, and the gravy was to die for! Easily my must go in Blackpool from now on!

Absolutely disgusting!!!!! Rude, arrogant and extremely unhelpful staff. Attitude towards customers definitely needs touching up, a customer skills course could possibly help the members of staff that were serving on the evening of 29th August. There were no closing times displayed anywhere, on the outside at least. When trying to place our order we were told rather abruptly the menu was very limited to nuggets, fish and chips. Gave us less food than we had asked for then we realised that we had been charged for 2 full meals rather than just a portion of nuggets which they refused to listen to, just walking away when we were trying to explain. I purchased a tomato sauce for my son which I had literally thrown at me across the counter by the young boy. The chips were awful and tasted like they were from yesterday. All in all this was NOT a good experience and I would not recommend this chippy to anybody. This really needs sorting out, not acceptable in this day and age but the problem is that people will pay these prices and often accept this service simply because of where they are and because their children are hungry. The owners get the custom anyway because people need to eat so why sort the problem and the workers do not care about complaints because they quite clearly do not like the job which I sympathise with but there are ways around that without letting personal morals slip and treat people the way they do. I do not often give negative reviews on here but out of all the places I have been, this by far the worst experience of customer service I have EVER received and witnessed.
