This has just become one of my favourite restaurants in London, simply amazing! Highly recommend the corn ribs!!, chicken dumplings!!!!, mushroom bao buns & tenderstem broccoli - insanely GOOOD!!! Loved the Tuna Tar Tar special also! Did I mention the corn ribs & chicken dumplings - don’t hesitate!!! 10/10 restaurant! Keep it up guys & the staff are super friendly & warm :
Had an amazing dinner here with some friends. For starters we got the chicken dumplings which were 10/10. For mains, I got 3 Bao Buns, Pork Belly, Beef Brisket, and Mushroom. The first and the last were really nice, but personally wasn't a fan of the Beef Brisket. For dessert we all got the Cookie Sandwich and it was heavenly. I decided to go for the “Let the mango” which was a little too spicy for me, but I was told that by the waiter before choosing. The atmosphere and service were superb, we didn’t wait very long for the food, and the staff made us feel at home.
The fried chicken and corn ribs were great. The pork belly bao was the best one by far. The prawn Bao and the mushroom one were ok. Nothing special in those. I did not enjoy the beef brisket one. The balance in that one was all wrong. All I could taste was clove and star anise.
Chicken dumplings were quite good with the chilli sauce.nnEverything else somewhat mediocre, especially at that price point. The buns were lacklustre with the bun itself tasting a little mushy/oversteamed and the contents being doused in sauce to add flavour without depth. The tea panna cotta tastewise was nice but the texture was odd - very dense and thick instead of being light and jiggly. Was more like a flan but even then it was not quite right.nnService was lovely, feedback re the panna cotta was taken readily on board. Tbh the place was packed but I was the only Asian person at an Asian restaurant so I think that’s saying something about the target market and why it wasn’t to my taste..
What a gem this place is! The food is spot on from A to Z it was so good that i didn’t have time to take pics. The team customer service is fab a special thanks to Holly!, the decoration adorable and the bathroom was clean! We’ll defo be back
