ANPR in operation here, so the car park is safe. Its also quite a large car park. Good services with plenty of places to eat. Indoor and outside seating area. Fuel station and a hotel within the complex.. Car park attendant in operation too.. You have to pay after you've been in the car park for a certain amount of time, which I believe is 2 hours. Dog poop bins around the edge available for use.
A beautiful place to recharge while on the road. Responsible drivers don't wait till they are tired to rest . They rest to avoid getting tired behind the wheel. Grab a bite meet for lunch or coffee. No alcohol allowed this place is family friendly
The design is more airport departure lounge than motorway services. Lots of food places to choose from. I mean, it's OK but not amazing. But I had to knock a couple of stars off. Why? The prices! I mean, come on guys. We're not lottery winners. Well I am, but it was just a free lucky dip! You expect to pay over the odds at these places but this was ridiculous!
All the usual tea, coffee, burgers, etc. Follow the path to the right of the building entrance round towards the filling station and exit, then hop over an earth bank blocking the road to the left to get onto a public room right of way through nearby fields for a very pleasant way to stretch your legs!
I had a quick stop on my way back from visiting family up in Newcastle, and what a nice little services it is. Me and mum stopped and had a coffee in Costa just before it closed and we had a quick look in WHS Smith. The toilets were clean and the staff in all places were really friendly, and there's ample seating inside. I was quite surprised to even see a very small gambling area inside.
Clean toilets and interior. Most of the shops/food close surprisingly early and there's not much choice between terrible coffee from Costa and greasy fast food rubbish. One way system in the car park confusing.
A good service station off the A1. This services station has lots to offer from shops, fast food restaurants and a small adult arcade. For a service station the prices are cheap however it is a very popular place to stop for both lorry drivers and cars. This makes it a very place to visit and sometimes there is an extended wait to get served. The car park is very large and has lots of place to park however there is always a queue to get to the car park. The services also has a Days inn on site for people needing to stay over. You can park for free for 2 hours or can pay to park more unless booked into the hotel when the parking is free for your stay. A newly built drive through Costa is also very good asset to the services.
Convenient services, ample parking, relatively good selection of eateries and toilet facilities were good and clean
We stop here almost every week and we have had no issues with the place. Toilets are always clean, the baby changing room is extremely clean and well furnished. Even has a nice soft arm chair for breastfeeding! Wide range of food and drink. Even has laundry services out the back. Just wish they has more child spaces
It must be the place to visit on a Sunday. Absolutely rammed with folk! Massive car park. Toilets are clean. Be prepared to wait for food even though there's plenty to choose from. Had a pasty from the Cornish Pasty caravan. It was the hottest substance on Earth. Tasty when I could eat it, 30 minutes later.
