What a beautiful campsite! Peaceful, remote and the spaces between pitches are reasonably distanced, so everybody has their own privacy. Owners are such a lovely people, who help you out with whatever you need. We forgot to bring pump for mattress and they did not hesitate to help us out. You can buy a disposable barbecue etc. on site if you need or borrow a little firepit. There's even a space where you can have a bonfire and chill. Toilets are surprisingly very clean and cozy. We absolutely loved staying over and will be coming back, hopefully soon. I recommend this place to everyone!!!
We 1 adult and 2 kids have stayed two nights in a beautiful bell tent and it just shows you don't need to travel hundreds of miles away from home to feel like you've escaped. It's been a great base for our day trip activities and spending the evenings on the site which is spacious and has great facilities has been perfect. The personal touches make it feel extra special.
Beautiful campsite ran by some truly lovely people! After we used the communal fire pit on our first night, the host managed to find a spare portable fire pit for us to use on our camping plot! Beautiful views, and a 30 minute drive into Blackpool!
Lovely site, farmer and his wife were exceptionally welcoming and helpful! Pitches are generously sized and spaced out well. Loved the fact that each pitch was mown out of the surrounding grass, it is VERY clear where you should be camping! The site has a little honesty box containing a few basics should you forget/run out. A firepit is provided free of charge, with logs and kindling available in the aforementioned box. There's a small picnic/play area in the middle of the site, great if you've got kids. There's also a large communal firepit, but we didn't get around to going over as we were out and about. The toilets and shower are basic but were spotless the entire visit. The farmer mentioned he was upgrading them for the next season so your experience may be different on that one! Overall, this site is mainly aimed at families, don't come here expecting all night drinking and partying with your mates! I would definitely visit again! Additional non-campsite information - We drove here via Pilling. As we arrived at Bradshaw Lane, off Lancaster Road there is a sign up saying the road ahead is closed. This is as of 5/9/2021 not accurate. If the road is closed, it's way past where the farm is, so feel free to use it. Do check with the owners beforehand though as they will have up to date information on any closures. Take it easy on the roads approaching the farm, they aren't in best nick and there's a quite few hidden bumps and dips. Stick to 30 and you'll be alright!
