Nice site, close enough to walk into the town. Some good geocaching within walking reach along the river. Good centre for exploring West Lancashire and very reasonable off season.

You just need to come here and find out for yourself! We live 3/4hr away so feel really lucky that we just up sticks for a few days at a time. It's a beautiful setting not far from a lot of lovely places to visit.
Bob. Linda and Bob.. are constantly looking after the aesthetic and comforts for you. Nothing to much trouble. Make you feel like family. Love the place.

I think this must be one of my favourite sites. The park next door provides plenty of entertainment for children _ the river to paddle in, a play area with swings, slide, climbing frame and on Sundays the local model railway club run their trains and provide rides for people at 60p a go. There are plenty of walks for dogs and not too far from shopping centre plus of course the castle. Well worth a visit

Friendly site walking distance to town centre.  Spacious pitches. Opposite Leisure Centre. Excellent base for walking. Only downside are the toilet blocks that need updating.
