The park itself is lovely, and extremely dog friendly, even in designated spots of the restaurant which is perfect. The caravan itself was really nicely designed, however a few spots weren’t properly cleaned dusty and the hairdryer wasn’t working. I was also surprised by the lack of basics in the caravan, we were told to bring washing up essentials and towels, but there wasn’t any kind of cleaning products meaning we had to buy them for just a 3 night stay. I also felt like we could have benefit from a welcome pack of some sort, outlining the opening times of the restaurant and what times breakfast, lunch and dinner were on, and also the times of the shop, and the buses. Overall though it was a really pleasant weekend with lovely and helpful staff members, beautiful food and a clean, well kept park. We will be returning, and I’d definitely recommend for dog owners.
Lovely little holiday park, entertainment was ok, nothing spectacular, but what do you expect! We didn't get the caravan we was expecting, we had booked one with two toilets, but hey ho, at least it was working! Caravan was clean and had everything we wanted... Except a spatula strangely enough... No great dramas, we didn't turn the cooker on once! Booking of activities was a bit disjointed, almost frustrating. All in all somewhere I would go again... Especially now that I know the quirks! Only dropped a star due to the wrong caravan, and the lack of signage and info for booking of activities etc. To sum up, had a good holiday there, and will be going back because the minor negatives are far outweighed by the plenty of positives.
I’d go back - had a great holiday, but there were a couple of niggles. Lovely views once you accept the big power station and look elsewhere. Good caravans which were perfectly clean and tidy though they were lacking quiet a few basics in the kitchen such as a can opener, grater, some cooking utensils and the knives were shocking quality - they would bend when cutting vegetables. The playing field by the sea, the swimming pool and sauna!, the arcade and the play area were all firm favourites for my 4year old son. Most of our days we went to Heysham village or Morcombe where there is plenty of nice things Ana fun activities to do.
Visited Monday till Friday 2nd Sept caravan was spacious clean and bedding lovely. We all slept well.we used the pool which was ideal . We didn't use children's entertainment as the weather was ideal .the only issue we had was with the booking.my daughter booked over the phone and requested a caravan close to amenities as I am disabled. The caravan was up the hill well away from the complex. My daughter has sent an email re this.on the whole a lovely short break
Lovely place, great views, the kids really enjoyed it! However, the site shop does let it down alittle. It's so small, there's very minimum choice and the not so happy lady behind the counter is more interested in her mobile phone Overall nice stay though. We would definitely return! Playground: My little boy loved it
If you've decided to stay here for the first time or perhaps you've been when you were young and thinking to rekindle fond memories then I'd think twice if I was you. It reminded me of a type of rough council estate. At night there were teenagers hanging around, we could smell cannabis and people had loud music on late. The restaurant was awful and even the lady at the shop said to not bother. Unfortunately that was after we'd already eaten. The half roast chicken tasted like it had been slow cooked for a week. The gourmet burger was cold and my daughter didn't want her chicken nuggets. That is a sentence she has never uttered once in her life! The whole place is run down and needs a complete make over in my opinion because it's simply not worth the money. We shall not be staying there again.
First time staying here and it's a lot better than expected. The caravan was lovely and well equipped,it was very peaceful with nice walks overlooking the sea. The staff were freindly and helpful. I would stay here again without a doubt
Just had a lovely break at this campsite it is a small but homely site. The amusements are just a nice size but the pool is a bit deep if your child is under 5 because my granddaughter could not touch the floor even in the shallow bit would recommend to my family and friends
We had a lovely long weekend away.. the price for the caravan was very reasonable.. good choice of activities.. maybe needs a few more for teenagers, overall would definitely go back, got a thumbs up from all of us
Although our hosts for the accommodation were nice, I cannot say the same about the actual resort. I realise we went towards the end of season but that does not affect the lack of availability for food when ordering in the restaurant on site. The grounds have interior roads and grassed areas but we found it difficult to manoeuvre a wheel chair around due to speed bumps.
