1 member of staff was very friendly but second member seemed very preoccupied. Made up my own breakfast which was very nice & well presented. However, for me a breakfast is all about the sausage & they were possibly the worst I’ve ever tasted. No flavour & very watery so I’m guessing they were value sausages. Would possibly go again but swerve the sausages Dietary restrictions: I eat low carb so building your own is a great idea but to be honest most cafes now cater for individuals.
I went here today with my two young kids, mum and sister. We ordered four breakfasts and waited patiently until an hour later where my kids were screaming. We asked how long the breakfast would be to which the lady said ‘your food is next’. I personally think they forgot, they said they needed to cook everything from fresh but 15 minutes later I went up again and asked to speak the manager and requested a refund. He refunded most of it I forgot some of the items that we’d ordered and then I saw them throw the food away. It’s a shame because I ended up paying £9 said I drank the coffees so I’d pay for those for two cappuccinos and fries that I never had. The manager didn’t say sorry or try to keep my custom. I would have preferred the staff to be honest from the start and let me know that the food wait would be X amount of time. I ended up going to Valero Lounge in Witham
We had two breakfasts today with tea at £20 . Price steep considered the bacon was cold as well as the beans, two small button mushrooms , hash browns very oily.two stars for the staff as they were very nice, but will not be back with the increase in price and decline in quality. Can get a proper farm produce breakfast elsewhere at that cost . Shame.
1.15pm Saturday 15th Oct 22 All cafr staff were friendly, inviting, polite and very helpful. Food was cooked to perfection. Tables were clean. I genuinely couldn't of asked for more.
If I've drunk my latte by the time my brekkie turns up I've been waiting too long. Food was nice, staff are friendly just too much waiting. Also, having the cashier then come to make the drinks is daft.
50% of the menu is not available, takes forever to get toast. Taste not too bad hence the extra star. Get this, kitchen can’t make scrambled egg due to no ingredients, but fried egg is okay. What exactly did they not have?

Coffee machine broken which was a bummer, but the new member of staff was so helpful and friendly and really went above and beyond to make our visit good, even went and got us coffee from somewhere else! Excellent service
Lamb shank was nice if it wasn't swimming in so much juice spoilt the veg
Service was okay but food was absolutely awful. Bacon was off, it was grey and slimy I don't know how someone could even have served it. The yolk in my fried egg was completely solid, toast was burnt, the other order we had was eggs Benedict and the sauce was so thick and the state of the eggs were atrocious, hardly able to be called a poached egg. Ruined my appetite and it's unlikely I'll come back for food ever.
