Far more than just a garden centre!! Superb farm shop with in house bakery, butchery and award winning cheesemonger. Cafe good to and busy, so I'd recommend booking a table.
Been recommended to us a couple of times but now having dropped in I can see why. Really great garden centre but also the in house bakery, butchers, farm shop and cafe were all equally as excellent. Will certainly be adding it to our more regular places to drop in
Stopped at this wonderful Garden centre today on a cycle ride for a cake & coffee stop !! There were quite a few of us. Excellent speedy service and the scone was delicious. Loads of safe cycle racks inside the actual centre. Only downside was not having the time to actually walk around and see all the lovely plants etc. Will most definitely be returning soon to have a good look
I have been going to this place for a number of years. Always have a bite to eat and coffee. I was really disappointed to be served, what must be the smallest slice of cake in the world. it's £3.75 a slice. Judge for yourselves. See pics. Won't be going back there for food that's for sure.
Excellent Garden centre, 2 minutes drive from Usk. We had a very enjoyable afternoon visiting this lovely garden centre, a family run business. Lunch was delicious, large portion sizes, the restaurant was very busy, but staff were friendly and managed very efficiently. Shopping here is a delight, from the butchers and bakery counters to the delicious selection of chocolates, cheeses, gifts and of course the plants and flowers. Well worth a visit!!
Visited today to intially buy our bedding plants but had a coffee and cake on the terrace in coffee shop when we arrived. Everything freshly baked which looked delicious on cake display. Coffee was good too. The plants for sale all looked stunning and well cared for by the horticulturalists. We bought plenty of various plants for the tubs and baskets. The food hall and gift department is wonderful too. Came away with some delicious foods and gifts. The staff are all extremely helpful and polite. A thoroughly lovely garden centre.
Lovely garden centre and farm shop, excellent variety of goods on sale together with top quality garden plants, cafe is a big draw for teas snacks and lunches and gets rather busy especially at lunch time. Meat counter has everything, catering for the upper echelon of cooks with prices to match but you'll have a job to match them on quality! Sales of Welsh goods is prominant together with local produce. Well worth a visit!
Usually go to morris of Usk once a week or so they have an fab gi-loaf of bread in the bakery, but everything in garden centre is expensive except for the plants and flowers 5stars and the cafe food is excellent except for today. Looked at the specials fancied Hotdog & Chips, price £9.99 good value , however when they came they were 2 processed tinned sausages which were so disappointingly horrible . I would rather have had a smaller real sausage. Sad because before today’s meal I have always rated their food quality and value 5 stars because I usually have a rib eye steak.
Been coming here for years but visits will now be less frequent. Cake prices jn cafe have gradually crept up over recent visits but no longer worth it. Butchers meat offers good quality but expensive now. Pity.
Brilliant garden shop, has everything you need. The choice of pla ta and accessories was vast and well priced. However the cafe was a little disappointing as a Vegetarian with not much of a choice menu wise. Plus when asked about the special, whether the cheese in it was indeed vegetarian or not, the server nor the chef knew the answer, and said they would have to find out from the deli shop. I said not to and opted for the Jacket potato as it was very busy. Quite surprised that nobody involved in the kitchen knew the answer, surely the people prepping the food should be aware of the products they were using. Other than that the jacket was nice, the service friendly and quick.
