I really enjoyed this station It was a surprise to get to see some disused parts visible from public areas it was nice to see some tracks that haven't been used in years and then a mesh fence going across the entrance of the tunnel and being able to see down through the tunnel I really like stuff like this about stations getting to see parts no longer used but still there.
Easy access station from the street, has access to the Elizabeth line and plenty of info boards and a few places to sit. It's an old station so looking around you can see the history of the line with signage and design whilst your waiting for the next train to arrive
staff very good on the ball with the time table help , the bugs of the station are, the display boards realy do need to be upgraded as there small, over bright old school digital , no one can read them clearly unless you're standing very close , toilets also needed. wi fi service is constantly down , its badly needed the constant train door closing alarms beep and panic passengers into a last second dash
Nice station, step free now, thanks to the Elizabeth line
Needs a cleaner from6am to 10pm.
The station is fine. But a bit old and complicated
It's a tube station but now you can walk from Liverpool Street the Moorgate unground so if the weather is not nice just walk
The best place to start a visit a to the city of London, from here a walk south will take you to the Bank of England with the royal exchange nearby and the myriad of small streets and alleyways which make an exploration of the city an adventure, from moorgate there are the other three points of the compass to explore, to the west lies the Barbican centre and beyond venturing west through Smithfield market to high Holborn and then on through to the west end of Oxford Street and Regent Street, back at moorgate you can venture East towards Liverpool Street station and the delights of spitalfied market, brick lane and petticoat lane and the vibrant party scene of Shoreditch if you visit at the weekend, to the north of moorgate ls old street the main gateway these days to the party scene of Shoreditch, to me it is home and has changed considerably over the decades, my friend from the suburbs visits me often and is always surprised that old street is often overlooked as a place to visit, it has no major attractions apart from the Barbican centre and LSO St. Lukes but has own unique charms, for the adventurers wanting culinary delights take a bus from moorgate, north to the Angel and Upper Street beyond, at the weekend evenings it has a certain buzz of people out looking to spend time eating and socialising in the warm vibrant atmosphere of Upper Street and it's eclectic choice of restaurants to choose from, if considering a visit to the city of London for whatever reason, moorgate station is definitely a good place to start.
Clean tube station. Avoid at commuter busy times.
Moorgate Station needs improving. No route map outside or in the entrance of this station to help people visitors to find their destinations once they exit this station. Escalators even for a few steps are required for all citizens such as people with mobility issues, shoppers, parents with young children, people with luggage and the elderly, all which are discriminated at this station. Staff are normally nowhere to be seen, and when commuters do come across a member of staff they find them to be very grumpy and unhelpful clearly staff are in the wrong job! so cheerful staff is a must.
