This is the best agency I have every worked with. They are simply fantastic at looking after their contractors and are a pleasure to deal with. They are honest, straight talking and always ready to help get the best for their clients and the people working on their client sites. I have dealt with many agencies who just want to get you in a role and forget about you but Monarch continually keep in touch with their contractors and their clients. They come to site and make sure you are happy and that you have what you need to do a great job. They are on the phone and email and ready to respond and help at the drop of a hat. They value their employees. I wholeheartedly recommend this employment agency. Keep up the great work Monarch!
My experience with Monarch Recruitment has been very positive. I was contacted by Alison at Monarch Birmingham Branch via LinkedIn and decided to give her a call after looking at their Monarch site which was very easy to navigate around. From the beginning, the communication between Alison and myself was prompt, she listened to my requirements and fed them through to the client company. Any feedback that she received was fed back to me in a prompt manner. Promises were kept in terms of phoning back when required/emailing me with prompt answers. In short, I am very happy with the service as I managed to get a job from contact > offer letter in under a week. In the future, when I am looking for that CEO position, I'll be sure to go back to Monarch/Alison.
I went through a lot of agencies while looking for a job and this is one of the best I dealt with. Not only did they manage to find a job that suited my skill set and career path but were excellent with any help and patience in regards to me relocating. I had Alison Corcoran as my main contact and she was fantastic throughout, very helpful and knowledgeable with any advice as well as would keep me well informed throughout the process. Great company with great staff, I would highly recommend Monarch and would go through them again.
I got my current position via Monarch It. the whole process was great, I received an email that was relevant for the type of positions I was looking for, I contacted Alison Corcoran and she got exactly where I was coming from and what I wanted to move on to. She was friendly and knowledgeable of the company she was "selling" me. through out the interview process she kept me in the loop. Would not hesitate in using again.
Outstanding service. Alison contacted me out of the blue and was bright, polite and efficient. After any stage of the process I knew she'd be on the phone within a short while asking how I thought it went. I felt looked after and I was reassured that I had her in my corner. From initial contact to accepting the offer took a remarkable 6 days! I am thoroughly impressed.
Bear in mind that Monarch IT reached out to me. I was contacted by a recruiter Dippy on LinkedIn who said I matched a job profile. After calling and messaging several times I finally got through and accepted her offer to represent me I had to turn down another recruiter who also wanted to represent me for the same job. This was 2 months ago and I have not heard anything nor can I get through to Monarch. So instead of helping me get a job, this agency seems to have cost me a job, and I am starting to wonder whether it is legitimate at all.
I have recently returned to contracting and obtained my most recent role through Monarch. I have also used their services to recruit a number of roles. I have found Monarch thoroughly professional throughout. They were very helpful whilst I was a candidate and have been communicative now that I have started the role. They pay on time and the on-line time-sheet system is effective; as is their self-billing mechanism. The candidates that Monarch provided for my roles were well matched and of good quality. They all interviewed well and I recruited through Monarch and been very satisfied with the result. I would certainly use Monarch again in the future.
As a contractor, I've worked via Monarch on and off for 3 of the last 5 years. I've always gotten on really well with them. Their time-sheet system could do with an update, but they've always self-billed / paid in a timely fashion and have never had any issues. Certainly one of the better agencies I've worked with - my contact's always friendly yet professional.
I have worked with Alison Corcoran at Monarch IT on a couple of occasions and each time have found her to be both friendly and professional. Alison was very supportive and helpful during the recruitment process, offering useful advice and insight into what to expect at each stage of interview - leading to positive outcomes on both occasions.
Several negative experiences with this company. Very negative in fact. As a company, I think they’re very inexperienced, and actually quite rude. If you’re not working on an IT help desk, the recruiters probably won’t understand what you do for a living. Which leads them to constantly send you completely unsuitable roles, that you have no experience in - as far as they’re concerned a web developer is basically the same as a web designer. Attitude of recruitment consultants also stinks. One of them literally hung up on me when I told them I wasn’t interested in interviewing for a job they found.........after that, they basically burnt their bridges, and I haven’t responded to a call from them since. To improve their business, they really need to understand the tech/IT sector better, and understand what we actually do, and what our experience is. So they can actually find us jobs we’d be interested in. And they also need to understand contractors better. They seem to think we’re “temps” who are desperate for interviews, when the truth is the exact opposite - we’re in-demand, specialists, who get multiple interview offers every week.
