Been many times - There a period the quality suffered but lately it came back to what it used to be. Easy home food with lovely staff I will keep coming
I had my Retirement Lunch here today with around 15 guests. Some arrived a little later than the planned time of Noon, but we were all attended to with efficiency and our orders were taken without fuss. The food arrived very quickly and was all cooked to perfection. No one had any complaints. The Deserts were also nicely presented and we did not have too long a wait. The wine was pleasing and we all had a wonderful afternoon. Some of us hung around for a little while afterwards and we were not pressured in to leaving. I can highly recommend this venue.
Back again! This place is becoming something of a regular for us. This is the grilled tuna and mango chutney, cooked to perfection. My grilled salmon with hollandaise sauce was historic as well.
The servers were pretty attentive. As a party of 10 our server remembered all of our quirky orders and gave good recommendations. The burger was pretty delicious, perfect medium rare, tasted like cast iron grill with a hint of smoking, very good! Sadly the atmosphere was a bit lacking, the music was a bit odd as well. Overall the food was great, service was good but the atmosphere was not quite right.
Very mediocre experience here recently. Overpriced for what was a very average meal. The only half decent thing was the coffee. Service was poor and of course was added on to the bill automatically at 12.5%. Bit of a joke really but was in too much of a rush to argue. The disabled toilet where the baby change was was disgraceful. No toilet roll, no hand towels and no soap. Always fun when you are dealing with a leaking dirty nappy.... Not impressed.
I really enjoyed my lunch here today en route to concert at Royal Albert Hall. Staff were approachable & attentive. Food was delicious, well presented and portion sizes good. Prices were pretty much what we'd expect to pay in central London. Would be pleased to go back again.
Decent food but the service is so slow, disorganized, unprofessional that you will leave this place feeling disappointed, uncomfortable, stressed and completely ripped off when you realize that a 12,5% service charge had been added to your bill automatically! Both waitress and bartender were rude and barely looking after customers! Very poor service, extremely slow, noisy. Clearly understaffed. We almost felt like a nuisance to the staff, all busy chatting loudly in a foreign language or texting instead of doing their job! The staff were disinterested, bored and unfriendly! Coffees and drinks left to stand for ages on the serving station before being served to customers - coffee mainly froth! We waited an hour for our mains and half an hour for desserts! Not the slightest bit bothered when we asked both times where they were and why that took them so long! Sadly we can no longer recommend this place to anyone. We had great dinners previously and had enjoyed the experience. But service seems to be lacking and getting worse over the last few months with new employees every month. Maybe others are seeing the decline of service too. The food was still fine but not worth the trade off for inefficient and terrible service. Unfortunately, we will not return nor will we any longer recommend. There are too many other great options with service that makes a customer feel good about their choices. Save your money for businesses and people that deserve it.
Visited on Sunday, the place was crammed with screaming kids of all ages and food and coloring on the floor. Food mediocre. Service very bad. Waited ages and nobody even asked if we wanted drinks. Very difficult to get their attention. I had to remind for water twice. It finally arrived after we finished our mains. Unbelievable! Poor service, wrong starters delivered even though I repeated myself twice and the genial waitress repeated the order back. Now I understand why this restaurant was half empty at lunch time on a Sunday when next door had a half hour wait time. We eventually got our bill and waited to pay by card for about 15 minutes. The waitress never came back and openly ignored us a few times. So we paid in cash - minus service - and plan to never go back.
Food was very processed and the service was slow and unresponsive. The risotto starter and the sea bass fillet main were both very tasty however other items looks like fast food. The food was delivered incredibly quickly and after our main course plates were taken away we were left without any service for an hour!
I have been to MKs 3 time recently and have been delighted with the whole experience: food,service,room and value for money. The food has been delicious for both my husband and me. I want to try the entire menu. The service is ALWAYS friendly, fast and efficient. And it's a very attractive, light airy room. I don't understand the negative comments, I feel if a different place has been reviewed. I will go back soon.
