Me and my family just found ourselves dining here. We were actually wandering in the street after our Punting boat ride. Checking out food places and we ended here. The place is warm and cozy. The waitress and waiter are friendly. Food is tasty and great. My picky daughter liked the Calamares. We will be back here definitely. Clean/neat water closet.
Nice pub with lovely staff. We had lunch there, my girlfriend had the Sunday roast wich was really nice and generously portioned. I had the toad in the hole wich was similarly delicious.
The staff were friendly and service was good. The pies were great, nice pastry and tasty fillings. The veg were lovely, Al dente, and the mash was an unexpected delight, smooth, creamy and well seasoned. We found out afterwards that we could have asked for more gravy, if we had known earlier we would have, because that was also good.
It's a really busy place and the ambience is fantastic, especially on 6-Nations Rugby days!, The food is consistently good and the staff are great and as attentive as they can be even when its really busy. We go about 2, or 3 times a month now because of the atmosphere and great value for money. Keep up the great work.
Reasonable prices, outstanding food. The dishes were classic pub fare, but cooked to gastro-pub quality at regular pub prices. It doesn't get much better than that. The fish pie was classic and beautifully prepared, as was the hunters chicken. Delicious chicken bites from the nibbles menu came with smoked tomato chutney. Service was outstanding Thanks again for taking such good care of us, Amy!. Great selection of house-infused gins.
Lovely City Centre Pub..... With Relaxed Decor, Very Comfortable Chair's and Quiet Atmosphere Heaven Very Attentive and prompt Service.... We had only come in for Coffee and ended up Dining.... Love the Hot Coffee perfect and Good Menu..... Great Service and Social Distancing measures are Well Managed......Thank you for a Great Afternoon
Had a superb Burns' Menu dinner - lovely food and generous portions. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Located beside the Park & Ride bus-stops from and back to Madingley Road - brilliant! 18 free parking, return fare £3.50.
Stopped here for a quick bite to eat. So glad we did plenty to choose from on the menu. The food quality was excellent. Reasonably priced too. Definitely worth a visit
