Mitchells Restaurant, founded in 1989 on North Street, but now residing in the village of Carmunnock since 2001.

Story

Mitchells Restaurant was founded in 1989 North Street, Charing Cross. Located one block from the Mitchell Library where the name originated. A further site was added, Ashton Lane in the west end in 1994. Our boast then was "two great restaurants one fine reputation". The fine reputation is now restricted to Mitchells here in Carmunnock as it soon became such the favorite we sadly closed the city sites to concentrate all our efforts here in the south sides starting in the spring of 2001.

The entrance we went in to the restaurant isn't the easiest for people needing to use the disabled badge parking, However, lovely food very much enjoyed our meals and cocktails. Would highly recommend ! Staff were very pleasant too.
I booked a table for 12 to celebrate my 60th birthday on 31st August. The staff were very welcoming and the food was fabulous. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere due to the lighting and furnishings. About half the party had not been before and were very impressed with food and service.
First time in Mitchell's. It's the first time we have had a lovely glass of water with ice as we sat down. Lovely touch. The starter's were excellent and the meal was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Yes we will go back most definitely. Well done
Meal for 2 and 3 courses was only £56. Food was super tasty, full of flavour and just perfect portion sizes. We had bruschetta and black pudding for starters Fish and chips some of the best tasting I’ve had at a restaurant Omelette with haddock Strawberry pavlova Apple crumble There was so many options for deserts. If you haven’t tried Mitchell’s I recommend you do
Our first visit here and absolutely will not be our last! We loved our dining experience from beginning to end and can’t wait to return. Upon entering we noticed a stunning outside area and very quirky surroundings. When we arrived inside we were greeted and taken to a table by a lovely friendly lady, once in we were given water and drinks order taken. A very knowledgeable waitress came and told us in detail what the specials were and left us to ponder. The food arrived and was fantastic! The chef is just a master of his trade and we passed this on via the waitress. Dishes were generous and plated beautifully. We had some drinks and a desert to share, also pleasantly surprised at the bill. We will be back very soon to try out more on the menu! Thank you, you guys have nailed it!
Been visiting Mitchell’s regularly over the years. Food is always amazing. Lorna is the best server ever. Know what everyone has ordered, even on a table of 10. Atmosphere always friendly and inviting. Looking forward to many more visits. Parking: Small cosy car park.

First class service and quality of the food. Duck breast starter was perfect combination of texture and taste. Venison was cooked just as I like it and the tower of mash, to and haggis a perfect match for the robust sauce. Companions enjoyed their dishes also cod, lamb and chicken satay. One star off for the raucous group next to us who rather spoiled our evening.
Having been going to Mitchell's for Special occasions and it has never let me down.Celebrated my daughter 's 40th birthday with family last night.The food and service were top class we had an great evening.Thanks again to Mitchell's Kid-friendliness: We had my daughter's 14 month old son and the staff were good with him which was great Parking: Parking was fine
What a massive choice, extensive menu actually causes quite a challenge to choose a meal. Could halve the menu size and still maintain a decent amount of options. Anyway, staff great, food incredible, joint was rammed busy on a Sunday lunchtime but this didn’t seem to affect the quality. Sunday; Two courses for £17.50, can’t go wrong. Very impressed and highly recommended to all.
