The taste was good. The service team is responsive. But the order took so long to arrive. Seating was limited, they had to rearrange to accommodate. The food was good, the taste was different from other restaurants. You can experience that, but the quantity is very less comparatively. They should probably consider providing reasonable quantity.
We have been here a few times now and it takes a lot for us to return somewhere. The masala dosas are full, sambar and chutneys are yum. Highly recommend. Fresh naans and fish pakora are good. We tried the Al faham which is a Friday special, we really enjoyed this and so returned again.
One of the best Kerala Restaurants in London Ontario. Amble dine in seating and parking available. Food tastes amazing. We had Chicken Biriyani, Chicken Fried Rice, Plain Naan and Tandoori Chicken.Food: 5/5
The food was super delicious. We had specials for the day, chakka with chicken, idiyappam and fish molly which were super tasty and had all the authentic taste of Kerala. The hospitality of the staff is also really appreciable. A must go to place for food in London
Looking at the other reviews with pictures, I'm shocked by the quantity of food others received. I ordered take out from this restaurant for the first time. My veg entree was a contianer of thin liquid with 9 pieces of paneer. My container of rice was just over half full. I spent 27 dollars with taxes on this meal and got pretty much nothing. The only value was the butter naan. I've gotten take out from another Indian restaurant nearby. The take out containers are the same size, but they are bursting with food and provide a minimum of 2 meals. There is no way i could get two meals from my order at Mint Leaves. Two meals with 9 pieces of paneer is 4.5 pieces per meal. Very disappointing.
The Chicken Mandi was a delightful surprise. The tender, perfectly cooked chicken was infused with aromatic spices and served on a bed of flavorful rice. The Thattudosa was a nostalgic trip to the flavors of Kerala. The dosa was crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside, just like it should be. Overall, we are impressed with its diverse menu and authentic flavors at Mint leaves. The Chicken Mandi and Thattudosa are both highly recommended for a satisfying culinary experience.
Today restaurant was very busy so instead of dine in we opt for take away. We ordered Chicken Tikka masala, quantity was good but chicken was very hard and dry , also gravy was bit sour and salty. Overall, not happy with food quality. This was the worst chicken tikka masala i have tried. Please hire more staff for weekends or your busy days.
March 2024 update:- Variety of items in menu, snacks are tasty and good. Chicken Mandi is well cooked and delicious. They had improved a lot and getting better now. One more Sept 2021 Update:- Recently I got chance to have their Biryani from my friends house. It far better than the old ones. Now its flavour tastes like a Biryani. They are just ok now. Just going to give one more star. My first visit here in this year 2020 and later several times for takeout only for Covid restrictions. I just got only very few dishes in good taste and flavour, I’m sorry to say majority of dishes were so horrible in taste, quality and quantity too. Quality was below average. Now I deleted this place totally from my list. These types of restaurants spoil the name of authentic Indian foods. One typical example is once I ordered chicken biryani, oh my gosh... the worst one ever I had in my life. We cannot say it as a biryani. Some kind of cheap basmati rice cooked with biryani masala and fried chicken made for some other dishes mixed in this rice. Once I tasted theevandi biryani too ohh, we will get better one of than this in our theevandi’s. Prices are in higher side and also quality n quantity is very bad. The Kappa and fish curry which is comparatively one better item I prefer from this place. So I’m just giving only one star. Im not sure if I will ever go back here and don’t recommend this place at this point of time.
We were craving for Alfaham chicken for so long and found this gem in London. Excellent food and good atmosphere. We got alfaham combo and it was good enough for 3 people. Food is reasonably priced. Highly recommend this place.Food: 5/5
