I came to your store yesterday to buy a giant cookie. When I first arrived there was a girl behind the counter. She was average height, black skin colour. Firstly she didn't even acknowledge that I was there, she was on her phone. When she finally looked up from her phone she was dazed and had a confused look on her face. I asked for a cookie with writing on, I had no response from her. I finally managed to get across to her what I wanted and she proceeded to put my order through the till. However, when she went to swipe her till card she kept missing the hole and nearly falling over. I paid for the cookie but she told me I hadn't paid so I showed her on my banking app that the money had left my account and she said "no it hasn't you need to pay again, I don't know what has happened" so I ended up paying twice. I was convinced she was drunk, so I reported her to the information desk at The Mall. When I came back to collect my cookie, I had ordered a heart shape cookie and she have me a circular cookie
Whilst I appreciate it was a busy day the staff had no sense of urgency and were just moping around and looked miserable. The lady serving didn’t know how to use the slush machine so was scooping ice out of the top that had none of the flavouring. Also when my wife went to take her teabag out they had put about half a pint of milk in it making it luke warm and undrinkable. Bit more training and a course in customer service wouldn’t go amiss.
Saeeda and her team were very friendly and helpful. I requested a cookie cake and they got on it straight away! They did a great job with the icing and tasted fab as always!
Before leaving the Mall to go back to my car,I asked for the 6 cookie combination priced @ £5.59 and was buying a Ribena Carton drink @ £1.29 & a Coke zero @ £1.79. I asked for again the 6 cookie deal of 2x kinder, 1xpop, 2xcaramel and 1xraisin. I go to pay and after a lot of difficulty for the server entering the purchases into the till and me confirming over and over again that I had the 2 drinks and 6 cookie deal I was eventually given the total of £14.95. I suggested the server had totalled it up incorrectly and to look again. I again said 2 drinks and the 6 cookie deal. A colleague joined and looked puzzled. I repeated my order again. Eventually the server told me the 2xkinder and the 1xpop cookies were not in the deal as they were not classic cookies. I replied that nowhere on the deals advert did it say classic cookies only. The large queue agreeing with me. The server offered to take the cookies back but my grand-daughters were already eating them! I paid the bill as there was very large queue building up. When I got to my car I checked the bill and I had been charged for the 6 caramel cookies, plus the 2xkinders, 1xpop and drinks when I only received 2xcaramel, 1xraisin, plus the 2xkinders, 1xpop and the 2 drinks. I felt totally robbed an order which should have been £8.67 cost me £14.95, an extra £6.28! I'd also like to say how disappointed my daughter-in-law was to find the store had no gluten-free products!
Bought a milkshake from here today and unfortunately my cup was split and the shake was leaking out. The chap who served me was kind to transfer it to a new cup to save my drink. Thank you. I wish the shop would bring back the dark choc cookies tho please :
Rung up for a last minute extra for valentine's day - had ready to go within 3 hours of Calling. Collected fast, I feel they could do with a 2nd till to speed things up and would entice me to buy more knowing I'm not holding a queue but the quality of the hand written cookies are great, must be a talented member of a well train group when it comes to personalisation.
