We phoned Jan at around 3pm on Thursday afternoon regarding a last minute 70th Birthday cake for collection the following day which, despite only giving her 24 hours’ notice, Jan was able to fit into to her hectic baking schedule for collection around 5.30pm. Jan was extremely helpful, and between us we came up with a wonderful chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache filling. We collected the cake from her the following evening and presented it to the birthday boy the next day. I think all I need to say about the cake, is that our very poorly 2 year old nephew, who hadn't eaten anything for nearly 2 days, asked for 'more cake Dada'. Thank you Jan for your wonderful service, and a truly delightful cake!

I completely sympathise with Absolutely Cakes regarding the gentleman who chose to give her a poor review when he expected her to make him a cake at rediculously short notice.  Customers should be aware that it takes time and planning to produce a beautiful cake designed to their requirements. When you know there is an important forthcoming event in the diary for which a celebration cake will be required then is the time to book a cake. Please do not leave it to the last minute and risk being disappointed when the cake maker is unable to fulfill a last minute order when given an unreasonable time scale.  I have purchased cakes from Jan at Absolutely Cakes. She is a lovely lady and her cakes taste fantastic!

Such a lovely lady. Made my wedding cake and it was perfect! Very professional, came to the venue and made sure it was well set up, it looked perfect and worked well with the florist. Finally it tasted wonderful! Thank you so much! Stephen and Hannah

very rude called asking for a cake not knowing t would take all night to bake and her exact words were"are you having a laugh its 7pm and you expect me to stay up all night baking you a cake" and I replied saying sorry I did not we only need it by tomorrow night and she replied by saying"BYE!'' without any warning she is completely disrespectful
