Thank you again for all your help and advising me on my new car. Great person and always going that extra mile. This is the second car we have bought from Millers Motor company over the year and we can’t thank you enough. Kids love the space and gadgets. Highly recommend if you are looking to buy a second-hand vehicle.

Bought a used car from this guy recently which certainly lived up to expectations. That transaction would have got him 5 stars had he not, some time, afterwards sold me a complete lemon.  I was told the vehicle drove great, would by MOT’d free of charge, had powerful headlights (?) - all positive stuff. 

Only a day or so after acquiring the vehicle a warning light came on and stayed on (most of the time). A few weeks after that I was driving when smoke started billowing out from the dashboard area of the vehicle. Fortunately I managed to pull of the road. I tried again when the smoke cleared but the same thing happened after half a mile or so. A local garage told me there was a problem with the heating matrix and that a repair would cost £450! I returned it to Millers who sent me to a local garage who repaired it at £150 (which I now realise I should not have had to pay). A week later the same problem - a loud grating noise from the engine, smoke billowing out of the dashboard and rusty looking water began flooding the passenger side footwell. 

Again I was referred to the same garage who I was told would repair it for free. This they did but was surprised when they contacted me in under two hours! A very short time for a problem with a heating matrix. 

A week later I was driving home when the vehicle suddenly started losing power - a frightening thing with tons of juggernaut familiarising itself with your rear bumper! I contacted him whereby he said the fault was with the garage now and not him since they had repaired the vehicle and guaranteed it. On neither occasion did I receive any paperwork confirming that the repairs had been done. I also received a letter from him in response to an email I sent him where he basically claimed that it was an old car and that I signed something which made all the faults clear to me at the time of purchase - I sure don’t remember him saying anything. Even so, a car bought from a dealer must be fit for the purpose, no matter what the age or cost. [For reference you have 30 days to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the vehicle does not live up to the expectations you’ve been led to believe and you can still reject in under 6 months if there is a fault with the vehicle that was there at the time of purchase - it’s up to the dealer to prove the fault wasn’t there, not for you to prove it was). 

Spoke to insurers re my legal protection and was told that I could still reject the vehicle if I’d had it less than 6 months (after the repair had failed twice). I sent a letter formally rejecting the car and am now waiting for a response.
