Quick service from staff. Typical arrangement for a post office. Limited parking at the front, I recommend parking at Tesco supermarket. Downside - no ATM
I use Mickleover post office daily for my small business and the level of service is always consistent. They are all helpful and friendly and go above and beyond to deal with any requests. I have on the odd occasion used another post office and haven’t received the same service level so only use this one now :
Great post office with good parking. Really nice and helpful staff; I’m not sure why previous reviews have mentioned rude staff, because I for one didn’t experience one. All three members of staff for friendly chatty and helpful. My assumption is if you go in grumpy you will think everyone is grumpy too! The shop is really well stocked and maintained.
Helpful and courteous? Quite frankly, I've never come across a more miserable, unhelpful bunch in years. Perhaps if you're a regular they might muster up maybe half a smile, but on the few occasions that I visit, they make me feel very unwelcome. Come on guys, does it pain you so much to be of good service to your much needed customers?
As a Post Office the service is quick even when busy for that they should get 5 stars. Such a shame it's let down by the man who served me giving me a lecture about being none judgemental after I made what was meant as a humerous remark to him. He continued with his rant even after I had appoligised three times. He can get away with that type of rudeness as he works in a business that is effectively a Monopoly - I will use a different Post Office whenever I can I just don't need his attitude making me feel I'm being offensive when I am not like that . This feedback is my experience based on a real encounter this morning at just gone 8.00 am I'm being judgemental based on his behaviour towards me.
Harvey is always friendly and chatty, yet still efficient. I use this post office daily as it opens at 7.30am which is great for an early starter like me. This post office always checks the size of my parcels in the slot, whereas alot don't, they just assume they can judge the size and often get it wrong. Ignore the negative reviews, I always find my visits a quick and pleasant experience!
I’ve used this post office for many years, the service provided by all staff is efficient & friendly. IGNORE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. The post master is so helpful, I recently posted a parcel that returned to me as no such address - my error I’d missed a letter from the post code so instead of it going to Nottingham it went to Northampton sorting office . This was soon rectified very kindly with the post master at no extra cost , my parcel was received the following morning . Thankyou
Beware of very rude staff. I came there with a positive attitude to register my car a Road Tax Exempt since I’m disabled. Despite of providing all required by DVLA documents I was told that it is not enough “because other people have had a letter too”. My explanations that the letter is not required was rejected because he is doing this job for years and he knows better. I was sent home and, on my way, out the chap working there shouted to all other customers “I’m just doing my job” to excuse himself. This is not how you treat your customers especially those with mobility problems. AVOID!!!
I posted a parcel to the wrong address. It left in the post office van 1 hour ago when I had realized it was the wrong address. The post office manager at Mickleover Post Office was very helpful contacting one of the delivery drivers and asking for the parcel to be returned to the Post Office that day. Very Helpful Staff and a Very Efficient Post Office.
The Post Office is often full, mainly due to the chap who runs it needing to have a chat with all his customers in order to impart his incredible knowledge of all subjects. This is fine if you have plenty of time and don't mind standing in the rain due to social distancing while he has a chat with everyone. If you have lots of time, take a folding chair, drink and snacks, and settle in for the long haul. Alternatively, go to the Post Office down the road which is run more like a business and less like a social club/drop in centre.
