I have eaten at Micatto twice since the revamp 6 or so weeks ago. Once for lunch and once for dinner with friends. On both occasions the food was delicious; the service above and beyond and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Having just moved to Warwick, this is on the top of my list for a dining experience and a little taste of Italy.

First came across this place when living in the area, and have been a fair few times since. Some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten, and I've been to Italy more than once. The service is always impeccable, and you are always made to feel very welcome. You won't have the cheapest evening out here, but it will be worth every penny.

Good food but don't take the family or ask for a doggy bag!!! My husband and I have been here a few times - always received great food, service and atmosphere. We decided to take our children here recently as we were celebrating as a family (aged 12 & 10 and well behaved). We were very surprised to find the reception a lot less friendly and the children were not welcomed at all. Their choice of food was questioned - when we asked for the celeriac puree to be left off their plates we were asked abruptly "Why? Are you allergic" . When ordering a side of chips, the response was "No, have the potatoes, much better" - it felt more like a sneer to our choice than a suggestion. Having ordered both children a full size Duck Confit main course which they couldn't quite finish, we asked if it was possible for them to wrap up the left over meat so we could take this with us, this was met with a look of absolute horror - "No! We do not do take out food" - we explained we were simply after a doggy bag of the leftover meat but were told categorically this was not possible and made to feel quite small for asking...... all in all although the food was good as always, we left feeling put out. Not the customer service we are used to at all - what a shame, we wont be visiting again.

Lovely, authentic Italian food. Was really busy on the mid-week early evening when we visited- must be a good sign!
